Someone asked Phil if he could swim and instead of saying no, we got information about how he has tried it a few times and he's sure he could figure it out. Most people panic in the water, but he wouldn't, so it'd be fine. It's the same story as not understanding Spanish, but he knows Latin, so he can sort of sense how to understand the language.

He definitely can't swim. Whenever he doesn't want to definitively answer a "personal" question about what he likes or what he can/can't do, you always have to assume he's embarrassed by the answer so he has to give a non-answer. He can't just say "No, I don't know how to swim, I never needed to learn. So there you go." because people would make fun of him for it and he thinks it makes him less of a macho man or whatever the fuck he likes to think of himself.

As for the troll cheers and tips, they'll never go away. One out of every hundred gets a decent response from Phil these days and the speds think their brilliant message will be the one to get a rise of out him. They're essentially closet fans that want senpai to notice them.

He's such an insecure bitch. He can't just say "I never learned to swim", he has to prevaricate about how he could totally do it easily, he just doesn't want to, but he could do it because he's so cool and smart.

He 100% can’t. I actually just started going to a gym so I could do some water exercise and probably have swam in any significant way since high school, and I got back in as easy as dressing myself. It’s a literal yes or no answer god damnit dark!

I was watching a TIHYDP of his The Evil Within playthrough from 2014, and there's one part where his pigroach luck extended to gameplay.

He's being chased by a chainsaw wielding enemy and narrowly avoids death by decapitation because his character ran out of stamina and was leaning forward while panting.

I found it pretty funny.

Hahahaha the very idea that Meatspace Phil acts even remotely like Internet Phil. There are piles of video and stories from people who've interacted with him in person and they all corroborate that he's a mewling kitten IRL. It's a simple answer: he doesn't get into confrontation because he's completely awkward and standoffish and meek. The whole "ya want me to run your tournament for ya?" thing is a very isolated incident.

I'll narrowly avoid powerleveling myself for this, but I "learned" how to swim as a kid and then swam well enough in middle school and high school gym classes. Then when I turned over 30, I took actual swim classes with a local coach and realized that I never actually learned any techniques for swimming; I knew how to get around in a pool and basically not to drown but that's it. My speed increased dramatically within 12-18 months of adult classes.

I thought he did actually get up and do something and then came back shortly after. I believe all the clips we see have edited out the space between that moment of fruition to him saying "Oh, the camera is on!" Any brave souls want to confirm this for us?

All the clips I have seen of, “the incident,” he beat off and immediately began streaming. It’s been kind of a running gag that Phil either never finished or simply squirted some mannaise on the couch and jumped right into the stream.

Even if he didn't climax, it is absolutely disgusting considering the amount of finger sniffing and "beard" touching he does during the streams.
Think about it:
This motherfucker probably crawled out of bed, didn't take a shower, went through his greasy hair couple of times, stroke his (probably unwashed) dick, and touched his mouth/nose all without washing his filthy, cum-stained hands.

They’re not trying to get Phil to notice them and they aren’t closet DSP fans. They’re fans of whoever is predicted to make the TIHYDP for that game. Or, in recent times, they’re Tevin’s fans. That’s why I joked about DSP and tevin being in cahoots, DSP gets a lot more “interaction” if tevin is restreaming and many of those troll cheers and tips are trying to get tevin or tevin’s chat to laugh.

I’ve seen some really good troll cheers, so they do sometimes knock one out of the park.
