these people are fucking hilarious. if you're smart, you spend your beauty dollar pretending to just be white, because you are more likely to be hired, given a promotion, paid more, and treated fairly by police.
I cannot imagine what brand of lunacy makes these people want to be treated worse (generally speaking) enough to do this. I know with Dolezal it was sheer greed. Scholarships, jobs, NAACP funds.
with the Instagram chicks I assume it's simply done for the photo for attention and quickly washed off afterward before they go out into the real world.

It's amazing to watch people who have european features really, really think that people are retarded and can't see they don't look like most black people they try to impersonate. Hate to say it, but there's almost always some strong feature that gives a hint a person's black, biracial or not.

Culture appropriation is a real thing but I would say it's biggest offenders are probably the fashion industry. Big brands will take traditional prints and fabrics, making millions. They take without understanding or care of tradition behind each piece. I'm to lazy too find it but I know two Native American tribes have had to sue big box stores from using fabrics based off of traditional bead work.

I dunno, you'd think so, but apparently re-imaging white, italian or hispanic girls to be more "black" is the new trend? Styling, fashion, makeup, hair, and surgery. Not straight up blackface, but just all the subtle stuff to tell you what market an artist is friendly to.
Lana Del Rey did a similar thing years ago, but it was a little different. Before she was known. So her marketing team switched her from Bridgitte Bardot to a more Jane Russel image.

Could the Kardashians be considered blackfishers? For the longest time I thought they were a bunch of biracial black chicks. In my defense Hollywood type people all have so much plastic surgery and fake tans/hair/heavy makeup are the norm so that makes it hard to tell.
