Sperging about Dante. Oh the irony...

Spoony criticizing classics is personally the thing I find most amusing about him. He has no idea what he's talking about but acts like he's making these grand insights.

I notice he tends to target religiously associated things, too. He seems to have a real problem with Christians.

Spoony's rampant anti-theism is one of the more entertaining things about him because of how bull-headed he is about it while demonstrating all the knowledge of a 14 year old euphoric atheist on Reddit.

The only things he really knows about religion is what's fed to him through popular culture, and even then he takes the most extreme reading into it.

I mean, before he was shown his own grave, he asked the spirit to show him a death that people cared about and was shown Bob Cratchit's family mourning Tiny Tim which filled Scrooge with remorse, with the implication is that Scrooge himself caused Tiny Tim to die. Yes, the reveal that he also died makes him change his ways, but it's because Tiny Tim's death was paired with his that he resolves to change his ways so that Tiny Tim could live too.

Not to mention, a cursory glance at Wikipedia will tell you that Dickens disliked Catholicism. I don't know where he gets the idea that the story somehow represents the Catholic Church.

I think Scrooge just didn't want to be remembered as a dick. I guess Spoony hasn't come to the same realization yet.

Whining about people he thought were a bunch of assholes.

So, he is saying that if Dante were alive today, he probably be whinning about Trump or wrestlers in twitter? oh...wait.

And his jokes are frigging terrible.

So, like singing "gay, gay, gay" on the FF8 song? Dante you asshole.

Key difference is that now most people use Dante's version of hell/inferno. No one will use Spoony version of anything ever.

Thing is, I always read that ending as Scrooge realizing that he'd die alone and unloved, and that it was ultimately his own fault for isolating himself. He'd spent a life not thinking about what people thought of him, but when confronted with the certitude of their contempt, it'd be impossible to ignore it any longer.

The difference was that Scrooge knew how to work, and handle money. He just lived in squalor and ate garbage because he was cheap.

Spoony lives in squalor and eats garbage because he's fucked his professional life harder than the namesake of this site. His only advantage, as I've said a few pages ago, is that he's so pathetic, his hypothetical recovery would legit make for compelling viewing.

But it's never too late to start. @LordKaT and Bennett the Sage have both turned around more serious physical health issues than Noah's ever dealt with. He could start now by stopping the hard liquor and soda; sleeping regular hours; walking Oreo once a day for at least half an hour; and getting a job at whatever place'll hire 'im, even if it's a night-custodian job.

Really, it'd be best if he quit screens. I hate acquaitin' things like screen use to chemically addictive subsances, but some people are just too pathetic and dependent to justify anything less than exiling themselves to the real world for long enough to know they can spend all their life in it, and should spend most of it anyway.

I know Noah only cares about never having to get a real job again, but that's literally impossible after what he's done to ailenate his audience. He's never gonna have his Patreon above even a kay again unless his former fans know he can expend energy on actual tasks for more than four hours a week.

He mentioned in his stream of Doom 2016 that he was bullied by "religious right assholes". Of course, that still doesn't change the fact that he's a massive cunt.

Pretty sure seeing Tiny Tim and the suffering poor (remember how the Ghost of Christmas Present used his own line about the surplus population against him?) and his ensuing guilt were major motivators for Scrooge to change his ways.

Knowing how much of a barely functional manchild he is, he probably has only ever seen the Flintstones Christmas Carol and assumes that it covered all the original story

Noah and Brad's first Twitter interaction in a good while, unsurprisingly over CTC:
Oh, Brad. I don't think anyone reasonable is justifying doxing and people showing up at your house, but ok.
That said, if anyone wants to look back at the good old days, here's Brad and Noah talking about the Rocky movies

I agree with the decision to delete his page, however, I still think how Wikipedia operates is an absolutely corrupt joke.
Some guy says, "delete this". They put it up for a "vote", that barely anybody knows is happening. A mere three people say, "Yeah, delete this." And then a mod comes around and does it. All these people including the mod could be be friends in a clique for all we know, and that's considered acceptable.

Seeing Spoony's Wikipedia deletion reminded me of his article on the Final Fantasy Wiki of all places. I checked to see if it was still there, and it is apparently.

What's interesting though is that I don't think it's been updated for literally years, since it says he still collaborates with other TGWTG reviewers. To be fair, the article primarily talks about his opinions on the FF series so anything else might have been off-topic, but even so it feels as though I'm looking at a time capsule from when people still paid attention to him.

I feel like if you put Noah in a room with Jordan Peterson you could create antimatter.

I seriously wonder if Shin Megami Tensei is what has him on this militant atheist kick because of its religious thematics. He's been playing those games for like two months straight and he's been raging about religion way more frequently than usual.

What an utterly joyless sadsack.

You wouldn't be too far off.
