He either believes he'll just automatically get the same conditions he got last time or that somehow throwing around the word "protest" excuses his actions.
yeah, I was theorising this earlier. I wonder if he genuinely thinks having a "cause" means he's untouchable by authority figures and automatically dials down the severity of his actions in the eyes of the law. Also being "female" means he's entitled to pepper spray anybody who he feels threatened by.

Also about the pepper spray.

Has anybody ever seen what happens when you give a young kid boxing gloves? The first thing they do after putting them on is walk up to somebody and punch them, because that's what boxing gloves symbolise to them, a socially acceptable way of punching somebody.
I really wonder if Chris see's pepper spray the same way, as a free ticket to attack somebody because it's just pepper spray right? that's what it's for, to get people out of your face.

Worth thinking about.

Kind of off topic, but does the bail bondsman gets his bail money back if Chris chimps out and gets arrested again?
Most likely not, but it's apparently up to the court.

Incidentally, it's still possible for Chris to get bail again (assuming he was even arrested at all), but it would be harder to convince a judge, and the bail would certainly be higher the next time.

The cops probably kept the pepper spray, but it's my understanding that you can buy pepper spray over the counter here in Virginia. On a side note, I'm glad that Chris's weapons of choice is Mace instead of a knife or firearm. Barb owns at least one handgun. I hope that Chris doesn't get ahold of it.

Yep- you can buy pepper spray over the counter here. Some places do try to keep it close to the register, but this is probably because it'd be likely to be stolen and because it's the perfect impulse buy: everyone has an interest in personal safety to some extent.

That was my thought as well- he figures that because he has a purpose, that means that he's going to be given more leniency. Plus knowing Chris, he's probably seeing himself as a huge martyr "for the cause".

Damn, I was really hoping he would have at least learned the lesson NOT to use pepper spray again.. At least so soon. Was also hoping Barb had the sense to fucking impound what he already had unless he got it in a three pack or something.

What the hell ISN'T wrong with Chris?

Barb seriously believes Chris (and her) can do no wrong. It's everyone else's fault.
This, more or less.
Chris's best hope of staying out of jail for a long time is him having a lenient prosecutor, and Barb playing the "autism" and "I'm a disabled old widow who needs my son to help me" cards.

I think that Chris could be looking at either some community service and/or a fine, or maybe up to a year or two in jail. There's just no way to know how things will turn out at this point. However, if Chris is arrested for his latest apparent actions at Walmart, I find it doubtful that he would be allowed bail. Chris would probably be in jail for at least several weeks.

I wonder what is driving this. Is it really just Sonic Boom's blue appendages?
Or could the lack of responses to his Apology Letters be causing additional resentment to build up towards the establishments that have banned him?

Yup, in his mind, Sonics arms are up there with any civil rights movement.

Heh, every single person who interact with the Chandlers gets screwed over in some way.

At least he threatened people with pepper spray instead of using his pocket knife.
Now THAT would have been his end.

I'm not a fancy big city lawyer or nothin'. But is there a significant legal difference between waving around a pocket knife or a bottle of pepper spray? They're both considered weapons, and the pepper spray could hit multiple targets relatively quickly. A knife provokes a more visceral emotional reaction, but I'm betting this is the same level of assault/threat/autism either way.

As has been said, hopefully this is Chris complaining about being sold pepper spray in the first place, not actually trying to assault random employees again. It fits in with his mentality of never accepting a single iota of blame for himself. In Christian's mind, it makes perfect sense that the clerk who sold him pepper spray should be the one going to jail. After all, all Chris did was use the product the way it was intended. Blasting big intimidating men who might as well be rapists. If that turns out to be a crime for some weird reason, then they shouldn't have sold it to him in the first place!

It's still autistic in a way that only true and original creator of Sonichu could ever manage to pull off, but at least it's a different problem than the one he just got arrested for. If he actually did go into a store he's been banned from (again) and got pissed off about Sonic's blue arms (again) and pepper sprayed an unrelated employee for trying to peacefully resolve the situation (again) then whoo boy, this is actually Game Over for Christian Weston Chandler's Adult Chronicles and the new beginning of Christian Weston Chandler Requires State Sponsored Supervision.

If Chris has indeed been arrested again, he'll be held without bond at least until February. In a scenario like this, I would imagine Chris will be held without bond for the duration of his charges, trial, and conviction, and then be released on time served.

It may be some combination of thinking he is untouchable and thinking he is a martyr for some cause, who is getting arrested for his civil disobedience and protests against an injustice.

......Gentlemen, it's been a pleasure.
Anyone else want one? I think we're gonna need it.

When all is said and done - I really do think Chris is going to jail. If not over this, than something else (Apologies for A - Logging if so is present here in my comment...). It is true, though - THE RIDE NEVER ENDS. And I was a fool to think otherwise. I really fucking was!

Either way, IMHO jail time may be the only way for Chris to have some realization that all of his actions have consequences, whether he wants to believe it or not, with jail being a major one of those. I must also keep in mind that THIS is Chris I'm talking about... He truly is too far gone if he was dumb enough to go actually raise a ruckus at a placed he was banned from in the first place. Sad, but true.

There was a time, not so very long ago, that I'd have dismissed this thread as A-logging. Now I take it as read that the story is true. I still hope that the story turns out to be false but I expect that it will turn out to be real.

Whenever I see one of those creepy, odorous and generally frigtening trannies down the shops who quickly gets carted off by the fuzz for making a scene, I'm the sort of person who always takes a moment to ponder their story and exactly how they got to where they are. In all my years of doing this though, I have never come up with anything as bizarre as the story of Chris's last few months/years.

Chis is no longer just a bumbling buffoon who amuses us with his childish antics on and off camera, he now seems to be a genuine threat to himself and others, and I do think that the sooner he is institutionalised in some way the better. I thought getting jailed again would humble him slightly, or at least make him get rid of the pepper-spray of fail, but he's already back to brandishing it in public in a very vocal and probably (given his appearance) intimidating way.

He clearly saw no wrong-doing of his in the past and obviously still doesn't, and has an infinite capacity to paint his victims as the villains and himself as the damsel in distress, regardless of the leaps outside the boundaries of reality that is required to do so. This sort of mindset, when extrapolated, can be used to justify anything, and if Chris is allowed his continued liberty it'll only get worse and worse and worse.

His last crime, his justification for it and his almost immediate relapse into the same behaviour suggests that he is now so utterly off his rocker that taking him off the streets is the kindest choice for everyone involved.

Agreed, he really seems to have picked this up and ran with it. It didn't bother him a few months ago and despite his excuse of knowing about it before but being to busy with the house burning down, I'm not 100% convinced it's just Sonics arms.

He had his Lego high school, then his commissions, then "Catie". All of these just kind of fizzled out, so his blarms crusade is all he has to occupy his mind.
Basically, Chris being left to his own devices without anything to focus on is just asking for trouble.
