He does seem to be increasingly paranoid - and with good reason. What other nobody would have at least three strangers calling the jail on the day they got arrested? Who else in Chris's position would have people rooting through his trash and pretending to be girls he went to school with? That's not considering the random weens that might make Julay calls, or point at him in public, or leave stuff on his lawn. He can't seem to get away from negative attention.

I would be shocked if trolling was a contributing factor in this incident. I mean, Chris has been watched for years and only recently has he started carrying pepper spray. His usual reaction to this state of affairs is also not to act out but to withdraw. Something else is at work here.

I have to wonder how much of the LGBT meetings played into this. They discuss pepper spray at those things frequently, and he might have had some militant knuckleheads talking in his ear about BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY when you have a cause you are fighting for. He lost his online sweethearts and perhaps his frustrations just went sideways into new, bizarre activities.

I think that's a bit of a stretch. Chris is essentially an 8-year-old. He has pepper spray because that's what women carry to defend themselves from MALES. Never attribute to malice that which can be explained by incompetence.

If it's getting to the stage that he's becoming dangerous, then he needs help. I don't expect he'll get it if he went to prison, but then I also don't expect he'd get it if he didn't.
Heh, going to jail is exactly the help he needs.

Please turn out to not be true.

I'd like to think that not even Chris is this fucking stupid.

This just in! We know how the incident at Walmart went down.

Ah hah hah hah!

If this is something, it truly is a great "Chris"mas.

I bet the stupid asshole went and got all huffy over Wal-Mart's Sonic stuff. He told us exactly what he was doing by hiding and stuffing merchandise. Who knows at this point. We'll see.

The help prison will give him is the understanding that if he feels entitled to keep assaulting people and taking whatever he likes, then he will be punished for it.
I think it's a real stretch to make confident judgements of what Chris's motivations currently are, let alone what a radically different environment will do to them.

Surely Barb would have at least enough sense to lock him in the goddamn house right?

Oh for god's sake. Kill me now before this becomes worse.

^All I really mean is that he'll learn things he doesn't like will happen if he breaks the rules. Things like confinement in prison.

I honestly don't care if Chris never understands that the world is not his to do with as he likes. He probably never will get that far. But then, I don't care if my cat understands the moral reasons not to jump on my counter - she just knows that she'll get yelled at if she does and she doesn't want that.

I wonder what Wal-Mart this was in. If it's the Ruckersville location, he was probably recognized by store security and informed he had to leave (the asset protection manager that banned Chris is confirmed to still be there in the Apology Letters leak.)

If it was in Charlottesville, he was probably approached due to chimping out.

We may be breaking into a new territory here. A new saga, and possibly the finale of the freedoms of Chris as we know it. It could be referred to as the "Jerkops saga" or "Chris vs Sanity saga."

I think your cat is probably better at learning things than Chris. Chris can build up all kinds of delusions to excuse his behaviour and detach his actions from their consequences.

I hate to sound like such a white knight saying this, but I really think this string of outbursts is fueled, at least in part, by the whole Catie mess. While most of the underlying mental issues that would precipitate this behavior have been there since the dawn of CWC, she was the first sweetheart in a long, long time, and like any other sweetheart Chris was emotionally banking on this one.
When that fell out from under him, what did he have left?
Nothing. Nothing except some stupid Sonic video game and a life that was seemingly out of his control.

Armchair psychology aside, none of this excuses the behavior in any way. It doesn't matter how many times you've had your heart broken or how many times you've told SEGA that Sonic's arms are not blue, this does not excuse macing random people so that you can feel like you have 2 ounces of power in your life.
