She-Ra and the Princess of Power - sjw bad animation reboot of shera

Doubt it, but at least you have excellent taste.

Actually, this ties into something about SJWs that amuses me. They perpetually insist that cis males 'don't want strong willed women'. Which is... so far wrong it's fractally wrong. Yes, there are men who prefer doormats; they are usually pathetic. There are also men who prefer 'steel under silk' personalities -- what the Japanese call 'yamato nadeshiko'. Deceptively demure, but try to psychologically strong-arm one. Go ahead. I've had more luck teaching horses to sing. And then there are actual 'stronk women' -- physically and mentally -- who attract the Amazon chasers.

The saddest part is that invariably, SJW-infested media has to tell us all about how 'stronk' the female characters are... but they're not competent enough to show it.
What I find annoying is that when ever they try to depict one they end up being male bodybuilders in drag.

Mara is the name of He-man's main squeeze in the New Adventures of He-man, the sci-fi only replacement line for the original Masters of the Universe cartoon and toyline. I'm guessing this Mara they are referring to is somehow related to the one from this series, maybe that she is this She-ra's mother, allowing He-man to be this version's *father" not brother.

Considering de-powered Mara is an absolute dead ringer for New Adventures!Mara but brownwashed, your theory depressingly has quite a bit of credence to it.

Sidenote but I find it hilarious that she goes from latina-ish to a literal fucking Übermensch when she turns into She-Ra, lmao

I miss good animation in cartoons, god DAMN

Looking at some screenshots and plot details of Season 3, it actually looks interesting and resembles something I'd actually watch. I'd have to go through the painfully mediocre at best Seasons 1 and 2 though, so I'll still give it a pass.

Some people are shitting their pants over Catra going Full-Blown Cunt Mode, trying to destroy the world, getting Queen Angella (aka Glimmer's mom) killed AND being ditched by Adora over it. Is it true?
It must be making the Catradora (or whatever the ship name is) fans really salty. Will this be Voltron Drama all over again?

Finally decided to watch the third season and honestly?

I kinda liked it.

It's not a masterpiece by any means, but it feels like the writers actually listened to some complaints that people had. There's almost zero filler, the dramatic moments aren't constantly undercut by shitty jokes, the really annoying characters either don't show up or don't speak, and most importantly there's actually plot and development.

On the animation side of things, they actually tried some cool shot angles and properly used lighting and shading. It felt like a step up from the usual, if just slightly.

There were flaws, of course- the kids constantly treating their elders like shit and sneaking around behind their backs was a very consistent problem in the season, especially for Glimmer. With what happens to her mother in the climax (RIP Angela you were one of the few characters whose design I actually liked) I hope her behaviour comes and bites her in the ass and she actually grows as a person. Also, they kept ship teasing Scorpia and Catra which was both annoying and creepy, considering now that we know Scorpia's at least the same age as Castaspella and Catra is a confirmed teenager.

Again, it's definitely not a masterpiece. It's like on the low end of average. But it was pretty damn good by She-Ra standards. I dunno if they got some new writers or what, but they need to keep at it. For this show, this season was one hell of a step in the right direction.

Sorry to double post but yeah, all this definitely happens. Catra goes into Ultra Cunt Mode about halfway through the season.

She's already on thin ice sanity-wise at the beginning of the season, but after Adora tells her that Shadow Weaver is now on the Rebellion's side she snaps and opens the world-destroying portal just to spite Adora because she hates her that goddamn much. By the end she's survived getting eaten by the world-destroying light portal thingy through sheer fucking rage and hatred and gets all physically corrupted and glitchy. She ends up stalking and fighting Adora until Adora finally gets sick of her shit and tells her to fuck off and die.

She doesn't, because Angela destroys the portal from the inside and saves everyone's asses at the cost of her own life, but it's the thought that counts.
