Killing a lizard fast is hard, but killing it slow (shortening lifespan, sometimes drastically) is easy if one doesn't know what to do, especially early on with a young specimen. As for now, the level of care can only be predicted. Enclosure looks barren with tacky decorations and seemingly one heatlamp. Other kind of light fixtures, tank dimensions etc aren't known, same as his nutrition. Maybe I was a bit too harsh on repticarpet, because I detest it's look, unnatural vibe and spotty hygiene, emblematic of hoarders/lazy/uneducated keepers/breeders. Slate, Tiles etc would have been much easier to maintain.

So in other words: Will he kill his beardie in the next 6 months: most likely no, unless he goes full mongloid and does more stupid shit like letting his cat into the enclosure. But I wouldn't be surprised if the beardie develops conditions due to improper care in the next year and gets sold off or doesn't live too long (average life expectancy in captivity is around 10 years).
