It was a blatant LEGO ripoff until they had to change certain textures and models to avoid being taken to court by LEGO. It's been drastically increasing in popularity, surprisingly enough, reaching the point where physical toys being produced and Roblox game developers are able to make money from it. They try to encourage kids who play it to learn LUA two-three times a year. IIRC they're trying to expand into China now.

Kyle has been exposed as a pedo previously, but certain Roblox youtubers continued to tolerate him instead of working to warn people and ostracising him from the community entirely. In 2018 his degeneracy was known, and there were a number of google documents compiled on him, yet nothing was done. He just continued to change aliases, and complain that he was being 'harassed' to garner sympathy.

Funny you bring that up, because one of the figures who helped out Cherry as the freak he is, specifically RubenSim/Ben Simon, has a fair few terminations under his belt and one of the most notable ones that happened within the last year or so he pegged on a site mod known to have a NSFW fur account.

Your description of the game is pretty on-point too, though the Jazwares x Roblox toys have been around for considerably longer than at least I thought (possibly as early as 2013-2014... ?). It's the game people continue to peg as a Minecraft ripoff even though it existed as a site as early as 2003. They've got very little competition by design but I still don't get how it got so fucking big.

If you go into pretty much any game you will find kids who are so young they can barely communicate, and a really unsettling amount of girls begging for rp in which other players adopt them as their baby or dog.

Some of the games are....serviceable. Most of them are trash, though. If something gets popular you can expect there to be a metric fuckload of knockoffs. For example, a while back there was a game called "Pizza Tycoon", which itself was not good, not even entertaining, but it actually worked. Step on a button to upgrade your factory. Very simple, illusion of reward, yadda yadda. Tons of knockoffs. On the front page you could find a barely functional LOL Surprise Toys themed reskin complete with eye-searing hot pink, ghetto tween music that you can't turn off, and weirdly sexualized cartoon babies plastered everywhere.
