First of all: happy new year, everyone.

Haven't been able to check out the DSP kahntent the past couple of days, so here's some stuff I noticed while skipping through re-streams (while having a huge hangover).

The Roblox disaster stream was pretty... disastrous. Too bad at least $17 out of $47 in tips came from baiters/trolls/detractors, and yes, I am including that 'pwdubz' dude who is throwing a dozen of $1 tips at DSP every single day in an attempt to troll/bait him.

I loved the old school, not-low-effort trolling, though:

And DSP sent out a nice message by bore quitting the Roblox stream: he's not there to entertain you, the viewer/supporter, no, he's there for you to entertain him. Once DSP is bored, everyone else has to suffer as well. Instead of coming up with things to revitalize a stream, he now just flees to the boomer segment in an attempt to do a quick cash grab from his wheelchairs.

And to wrap this post up, here's DSP giving his typical aggressive and very triggered adult reaction to someone asking him about homosexuality during yesterday's Minescam stream.

He really, really fucking hates homosexuals, doesn't he? It's so odd to see someone - a contractor who gets paid by Twitch - structurally doing these things on a platform that tends to be rooting for inclusivity and all that stuff.

He has always been like this to be hanest. "Recording yourself playing games = MONEY" thats all there is for him.
It's not about being good, funny, informative etc etc. His job is to turn his console on, turn his tv on and then hit record or whatever in OBS and thats it.
Don't ask him for anything, don't complain, don't sugest anything. Just give him money and tell how cool he is.

If there are slow days than it's up to his viewers to donate more. He should never have to improve because his job is playing games for you and he is doing that so any shortcoming is everyone elses fault.

The part that makes no sense is the advent of the boomer segments at this particular point in Phil's content.

For years, he overshared everything, and for a while there, that oversharing was limited to prestreams, Hate Live, and Ask the King. Even during the Black Shirt Begging video days, Phil rarely took questions while he overshared what he had pre-chosen to overshare.

Now, the podcasts are basically dissolved and Phil has a strict policy of not oversharing. And THIS is the time he has started to build Q&A segments into streams every week. So he is basically asking for people to ask more questions than ever before at a time where he is restricting how much he will talk about. I didn't think it'd be possible to be this backwards with logic, but leave it to Logical Human Phil to find a way.

So now we get severely triggered answers to questions that Phil deems 'too personal'. But these goalposts constantly move. If you ask about a detractor at the right time, you get a 10 minute rant. At the wrong time? Banned and called a moron. If you give $100 to see the Jasper reveal that's cool, but if you ask about the cat or the promise to bring a toy into the room after that, you're banned and called nosy and entitled. If you ask to hear a specific story from the old lore, you're berated for not paying attention. If you ask about a detail from that story that you do remember, Phil will berate you for being an obsessive stalker. @Sparkletor mentioned the weird incongruity with the gin recently and this speaks to the issue that Phil can't figure out what is 'private', what he has already revealed, and how he is feeling at that time. So we get these weird hostile answers that are very clearly half-baked lies (which Phil spouts with absolute conviction... something that should be a massive red flag to anyone who thinks him honest, but hey...) Then if the chat disengages, ostensibly a safer option to not displease the pig, Phil bitches at them for not talking to him, refusing to offer topic prompts that he feels comfortable discussing. This is how abusers work - you never know what's going to set them off, but you are sure doing nothing will also set them off.

All of this compounds with Phil's already severely lacking conversational skills to make his Q&A segments even more hostile, contradictory nonsense than we've previously seen. But all while refusing any details that will expose him, so it's somehow also even more boring than before. You couldn't orchestrate a worse streaming situation if you tried. His complete failure as a streamer is so natural and organic, I think failure may actually be his talent.

It has definitely become one of his major talents because most of the things he says are complete nonsense and can become contradictory because of the lack of thought before speaking. He's that much of a natural!

It was hilarious last month when someone asked him what improvements he was going to make to his stream for 2020, and DSP literally said that "it was up to viewers" on how to improve his stream and that DSP "couldn't make that call."

DSP truly believes that he is doing everything 100% correctly and any "improvements" to his stream would only come from viewers telling him "better" games to play, which he can then veto anyway like he did with Fire Emblem and Monster Hunter.

DSP has mastered the art of skirting the line you see, he didn't say he hated gay people just that it was very inappropriate to ask that question, now he was very angry and annoyed when he said it twice but, he never said "kill the gays" therefore A-OKAY. ALSO calling someone gay if you hate gays is an insult so that guy could have been insulting DSP'S manhood by saying he liked men! MEN!

There's a difference between gold-plated, solid-gold and simply gold colored chains.

Gold-plated will have a thin layer bonded to another metal as the core, (if it's gold-filled, the layer will be essentially thicker); and gold-colored will look somewhat golden, because of the use of an alloy instead of the real thing.
And to my understanding there's fakes that are capable of passing the magnet test as well.

The question should be if he ever worn a chain that had gold in it or not.

My bad, it was a SILVER chain. A very dirty and tarnished SILVER chain and he has absolutely NO IDEA what anyone is talking about a GOLD chain for. Also looking on PigPigGo this is like the 3rd time in a couple months speds have thrown him money to ask about his gold chain, so apparently everyone who looks at that picture just assumes it's gold because of how dirty it looks probably because they are mentally ill or something.

Which is why if "the game sucks" it follows that his stream will suck too. Any entertainer worth their tips can entertain regardless of the game. That's the whole fucking point.

He's worthless, and all his dodgy scamming and chicanery aside, he deserves to fail just on that alone. Dave has fooled himself into thinking he's a unique talent that just got hamstrung by trolls, in reality it was pure dumb luck that he got fired (the first clue) and stumbled into a burgeoning playthrough scene online.

Like most things, when the pool is tiny it's easy for pond scum guppies to be the big fish (eg Ronda Rousey).

I mean, just look at that conversation between a kiwi and a Twitch ex-employee regarding that rule about how you can't treat Bits as if they have monetary value. The ex-employee said that a streamer could say that, for example, "a 10500 bits cheer beats a 100 dollars tip" with no problem. How the fuck is said streamer not giving monetary value to bits when he is comparing their values?

Twitch doesn't give a fuck about their own rules. The only way DSP will get fucked over "breaking Twitch's TOS" is if he says something that causes outrage and goes viral on the internet (like his infamous impersonation of "Isaac Heimler, the last remaining nazi"). Otherwise, they won't give a shit.
