Honestly, I feel like Vin is at his best with more creative games that allows user created content, like Dreams, Spore, Species, Planet Coaster, Worlds, etc. He doesn't always have the best commentary for those games but his reactions are genuinely entertaining. The only thing that tends to get to me (personally) is, as someone who is often a creator rather than a player in those games, watching Vinny fumble around in editors for hours just to place one item is a little tedious.

I can definitely relate, and that's a big part of the reason why I don't really watch his streams anymore. The Dreams streams are pretty cool and he definitely found some great games to show off, but just like the old corruptions streams, the time period between good content is so long that it starts to drag on after a while. You can only sit through so much nothing before you get sick of it.

Unrelated, but while I know we've talked about our favorite lesser known Vinesauce streams/highlights, we haven't really discussed our favorite popular Vinesauce content. What's everyone's favorite video or moment that's super well-known and well-loved?

For me personally, from Vinny, it's gotta be either his Super Mario 2 Corruptions highlight, or the highlight from the original Fantastic Game. The former still makes me cry my eyes out laughing, and the latter is just such a staple of Vinny's stream - on top of being hilarious - that I think most people can't talk about the Fantastic Game at all without mentioning Vinny's reactions as well. (Honorable mention to Super Boy for "Sorry Nothing," easily the funniest dead Vinesauce meme in existence.)

It's way harder for me to narrow it down with Joel since I watch much more of his stuff, but I think I'm gonna have to go with either his Arma 3 highlight (which I know isn't THAT well-known, but it has over 100k views!) or his second Facade highlight. Honestly, all of Joel's official highlights are gold, but these ones are just particularly incredible. Huge fucking mention has to go to his Mario Bootlegs highlight - yes, I know it's the one with Grand Dad in it, but for me the best part of this video is actually the Lion King bootleg, which made me laugh so hard the first time I watched it that I actually did fall out of my chair. A very happy memory indeed.

...
My least favourite popular Vinesauce segment has to be android trash.

Android Trash should have only lasted for 1-2 streams at most. There's only so many times that Strange Rope Hero, Sea Shanty 2, and Neighbor Game can be funny. That said, the Chinese bootleg store stream was a bit of a return to form for it since the games were so different.

Joel's Facade is a bit of a classic favorite of mine. It was my first exposure to the game, and it's such a weird but novel game from its time (2007). Rev Flash games were a pretty good time too, but he doesn't do them as much any more due to repeated copyright issues and YouTube not liking them. Not to mention the same repetition issue as Vinny's Android streams had. Still, the demon that is Baby Hazel was great at the time and I'm sad there's a bunch of those streams missing now.

The fact that I don't know what was actually happening here makes it much funnier. Zeurel is always a treat though.

Er, my favorite "popular" thing is corruptions I guess. They're easy to show to my friends who don't care about streaming shit because there are a lot of good compilations. Most of the other "famous" stuff tends to outlive its enjoyability like the showcases or the destructions.

My favorite streams will always be watching someone discover or rediscover a game they absolutely love. Gimmicky stuff tends to get old quickly, but listening to someone gush and really explore why they love something will always have a soft spot for me. It just lifts my spirits.

Gotta go with the Tomodachi Life Streams. Yeah yeah, I know they created a particularly cancerous subset of the Vinesauce community, but it was like tuning in to a bizarre randomly generated soap opera each day. There was no telling what direction it would go in, either by pure luck or by Vinny's own hand. (See: Jahns.)
I'm still holding out for a Tomodachi game on the Switch.

I still unironically play that shit on the 3ds. I find very odd that uncle 'Tendo didn't announced a Switch Re-Remake of Tomodachi. Also those were some of his best streams.

the name would probably be something like "Tomodachi World"
Also: page 69, nice.

I'm still keeping up with Vinny's stuff. There was a great moment in this most recent Sunday stream when he was playing the haunted PS1 demo disc collection. During the finnish sauna game he got the bad ending the first time, replayed it, and then managed to fulfill good ending conditions as he was running out of time to get the good ending so in the end visual effects from the bad ending were overlapping with the good ending and it turned into a bizarre clusterfuck.

For those who don’t know, Joel’s been doing streams of Signal Simulator, and on the 6th part he finally encounters some spooky aliens. (Aliens are Joel’s BIGGEST fear, which is important for the context of the freakouts.)
You can see the clip itself here. It’s hard to see the alien in the window but he brightens the clip later in the stream.

It's interesting because I was going to use Vinny's Off-peak stream as an example of something I loved watching back in the day, and it turns out he streamed a sequel to it last night! Those games create such a unique, yet somewhat unsettling ambience that makes it interesting it watch. Other than that, Vin's subnautica streams and space engine streams are PEAK comfy. Also this entire stream... 10/10.

The only Joel vids that come to mind that I loved were the 3D Models, any of his sims 3 streams, and this. The last video isn't even that great but it still makes me chortle like a kid on a sugar rush.

The amount of creativity to make such a big story out of what little the game had at the time was really impressive. It's actually pretty shocking how many people got so emotionally invested with the "lore" and character development over time. If he ever did play a Tomodachi Switch game, do you guys think he'd continue the same lore as last time with most of the same cast? Part of me wants to think he doesn't want more viewers kinning Vlinny or drawing NSFW art of Klingon/Two Faced again, but at the same time I don't know how else he'd make the game interesting without those characters. Hopefully we get an announcement this year about it.

Vinny is also a damn FOOL for deleting Dheerse from the game. Godspeed, my beautiful queen. RIP.

EDIT: someone reuploaded Vinny's Response to Thumbtack Nerf Dart! Oh how times have changed...

Hey. Long time no see. Just wondering if anyone else knows how in the fuck CP ended up on the booru? Please let me know if this is too far / too sensitive of a topic for here, just want to know if anyone knows anything because I doubt anyone is going to say a word about it elsewhere.

(edit: a typo)

I went and looked but seen no such thing. If it was there it must have been removed.

Like was it a lewd drawing of a real person under 18, or a realistically drawn under-aged fictional character?

1. Obviously it was removed. Hell, the only reason I knew anything was happening was because I looked over and saw people on Vinecord freaking out about it.

2. No, neither. It was pictures of real children.
2 images. Obviously can't remember exact details since I left the instant I saw the images and knew people weren't bullshitting. One was a boy, completely nude. The other, a girl, clothed... I think... I hope. That one of the boy is still haunting me hours after seeing it only for a split second.

Who the hell would go that far just to shock anyone who happened to be on the booru at the time? I know people have posted disgusting shit there before that'd get removed but jesus christ not THAT.

And, if I'm not wrong, I believe those images were uploaded just before Rev finished streaming earlier today, meaning that he could've seen em. Well, bless whichever mod had to take the bullet and remove it before that happened.

Yeah. It's abhorrent. Thought the worst I would ever see on the booru would be that person who kept uploading an image that had the n-word on it before finally getting banned.
Also God, or whatever higher being you may believe in, help Rev's soul if he did see those images.
As for mods, people pinged SinCity for whatever reason? We ended up with Chromatic coming on and saying "I'm on it, no worries, thanks for the ping". Though, in all honesty, there shouldn't have been a need for a ping. Those images shouldn't have been on the booru. They shouldn't have even existed.

What I wish I knew was what's going to happen next. The thing that disgusts me the most about this is the thought that it will probably be swept under the rug like ever other image that gets deleted off the booru. Those were real people in those images, even if they weren't real, even if they were some sick AI-generated images or paintings, there's still a pedophile out there behind the camera. There's still children at risk here.

I hate the thought that these images, this crime, might just be treated the same as some low-quality, done-in-paint shitpost... and I'm really not sure what to do about it besides bring it up here.

The most the mods can do is an ip ban. The ip and name is the only identifier the mods can go off of, if Im not mistaken, and even then people can easily fake identities and ips. Just about anyone can sign up to the booru, with little information required.

There is a government site where content featuring exploited children on the internet can be reported. All they can do is send the ip, images and hope for the best.
Just because porn or other shitty images end up on the booru, get removed and are not being discussed on stream or a public discord doesn't mean they are being swept
under the rug. If it's considered enough of a problem, it will be discussed privately, including ways to resolve it. I assure you something like this is taken seriously.
The reaction of a few discord mods isn't indicative of how a problem is being handled.

As for your typical porn art, you can't expect mods to go out of their way to track people down.

Anyways, it's unfortunate if people had to view those images. Most likely someone being vengeful for god knows what reason.
