Sure, man. If thinking that makes you feel better...

It explains why they can't figure out why they keep losing, when they think a guy who only wants to nationalize all the healthcare and only MOST of the industry is "centrist"

Because aside from being dumb commies a bunch of them are euroboos who wish we could be controlled by Brussels and/or Berlin
It's almost depressing in a way. Their lives are so mundane and devoid of real conflict that they trick themselves into believing that the US in every way, shape, and form is an irredeemable shithole that must be replaced by a socialist utopia. What they don't realize is that not even Scandinavian socialism is achievable, simply because of how literally massive and how populated the US is.

I wish I understood why regressive progressives genuinely believe that Bernie is a centrist (Or the gold standard for one.). They always claim that it's because the US is like 25 times more right-wing than the average country and thus skewing the Overton Window to be such, but I don't buy it. And why should the US be using some other countries' perceptions of what are left-wing ideals and what are right-wing ideals domestically in the first place?

It's usually the result of some policy that gets popular support when presented in the best light, without the tradeoffs.

So 75% of people say Yes to a True/False poll question like "we should overhaul health care and make a public option available". Socialists take that and say "See? The vast majority of Americans want government health care, just like we're offering! We're centrists!"

Of course that support plummets once the destructive details and price tag of that plan come out. Then those celebrated masses become stupid low-information sheeple who vote against their interest, while their "centrist" superiors fume over some imagined scapegoat.

The whole scaling/perception of the current political paradigm has been fundamentally exceptional on the part of the Left for years if not decades. If anything, things are more skewed toward the opposite direction as far as they're concerned. The whole "myth" that somehow conservatives now are somehow more extreme/"far right" than they have ever been is an outright lie. They have remained, publicly (in terms of their platform and rhetoric anyway), fairly consistent for the past few decades on most policies and issues. The people who haven't are the Left. Before Obama was elected, you could still hear democrats call illegals illegals and that their stay in this country could possibly siphon from the public welfare meant for the general citizenry, but since perhaps 2012 or sometime during Obama's Presidency, that has completely vanished. It is essentially verboten among the Left to speak ill against illegal immigration at all. There's a great video on youtube demonstrating how similar Republican and Democrat rhetoric has been like with regard to this subject going as far back as the late 80s or early 90s up to recent times demonstrating this clear divergence.

How about guns? Ignoring the laws passed by FDR and LBJ, it has never been a major party platform on the part of the Left to take people's guns away never mind question the constitutionality of bearing arms. Since Bill Clinton though, that has increasingly changed where now you'll be lucky to find even a "blue democrat" speak in favor of the 2nd amendment in public (note : they may still not vote in favor of gun control legislation though which we all know why they don't).

How about the Medicare? Here the Left has gone from general regulations to the medical sector to a public option to single payer system.

And you can go on and on whether its free speech, "LGBT rights", "protecting the environment", etc. Republican's position on these things have pretty much stayed the same, it's the Left who have moved.

These dumb fucks still do not understand this is how you turn people who would normally keep Trump honest against you and end up sympathetic to him.

Chief Justice Roberts is no fan of Trump, but the Dems are really gonna end up making him choose sides, and the side will be Trump's.

Roberts is obsessed with preserving the legitimacy and independence of SCOTUS, it's why he caved on Obamacare. A legislator directly attacking the courts is one of the few things that will get him riled up.

Don't forget Pocahontas acting a fool during the impeachment trial, the Dems' court packing schemes, that amicus brief they submitted a while back...

They are rapidly burning through their goodwill with Roberts.

Norway has a population of five million people and one of the highest GDP per capita ratios in the world, mostly thanks to the vast oil fields off its coast making it one of the largest oil producers. Their welfare state wouldn't work in the slightest if they weren't sitting on top of a gigantic oil well.

Dems also need to understand the problems with supporting open borders while also pushing to expand the welfare state. If they need a lesson, they need only look at Europe post-migration crisis. Millions of African and Middle Eastern migrants came in and claimed asylum only to leech off of the generous welfare programs. I think I've seen more than one study saying that something like 10% are actually working. And with Erdogan opening the floodgates again, the EU's gonna be in a world of hurt.

Suffice it to say, I am completely against the US becoming like Europe in any way. We fought a war to get away from those fucks, and then fought it again a few decades later. Europe can suck it.

Absolutely. They're all shielded too, because it's officially become racist to try and be critical of random minorities. They don't work nor work to try and culturally become part of whatever country they're NEETing it up in. They want to make it just like home. While that is fine, they're essentially forcing out European culture to make room for their own. But that doesn't matter, because Twitter tells me whites have no culture.

I've noticed that a lot of these NeverTrump, former Republicans are just so, so terribly stupid. It's no wonder the GOP lost so much with these people in think tanks and serving as consultants and strategists. That's why they're NeverTrump, they're pissed no one takes them seriously anymore. This Liz Mair chick is seriously dumb as fukk.

1) My guy is just as demented as your guy!
2) This is normal! My guy has been demented for almost 40 years!

This broad is a communication strategist? Lolz. I can see why Rick Perry and Carly Fiorina's campaigns were such spectacular failures.

People like Liz Mair are wildly biased and believe a whole list of absurdities about Trump, like Trump is a fake billionaire (that owns properties around the world and a private plane?), Russia won the election for Trump through tweeting and outing corruption in the US, and that Trump saying there are Obama judges and Bush judges is as inappropriate as a senate majority leaders saying they'd get revenge against the supreme court justices.

Though I will say I half suspect the thing about Biden being demented could be fake the same way people make the claim falsely against Trump. People get tired, frazzled from traveling around and misspeak all the time. You get people criticizing them for being out of it after traveling around 12 hours a day when that's something that would wear out most people, at least psychologically.

Fair enough. But then those people should not be Presidents, who are asked to make nation-defining choices right after getting off a plane or waking up to a 3 AM call on the nuclear hotline.

In the business world, there are travelers who catch a 6 AM flight, start an all-day business meeting at 9 AM at their destination, wine and dine the client at a dinner afterwards, catch the redeye to land at 2 AM, then get into the office by 8 AM the next day ready to conduct business. It is absolutely not something that everyone can do; I did it sometimes when I was younger, but now I wouldn't trust my judgement on the 3rd day in a row of this schedule. And I wouldn't allow myself to be put in a place where I had to do something important after a few days in a row.

Trump, not coincidentally, was very familiar with this kind of business schedule before going on a campaign trail. For all the bluster and bragging about his own physique, he does seem to have a good grasp on his own capabilities. Once you're President, you have all kinds of handlers and doctors who keep a close eye on your health, so I bet he's got his schedules arranged specifically to avoid his known "too tired to function" point.

It's always a shocker for people wrapped up in the virtuous world of ideals and power politics when they discover that the base, vulgar, human side of being a human politician still matters. It always has, and it always will, until the Singularity delivers Movie Bob his perfect immortal robot body.

I've watched a fair few Biden speeches and he has never made one without saying something totally insane or off the hook, and he can't even reply to a question cogently during debates. Trump shows his wit when faced with an opponent, making great jabs at Hillary on stage or people like Bloomberg over tweets. Biden can't even use a teleprompter right.

These people still want Trump to be Hitler more than the alt-right at this point
:stress:
I love how he's completely brushed it off after saying he doesn't agree with that base his first year in office and they still say "look look he's a nazeee!" also loved when TDS candidate boinie and his supporters reeee'd when the media said his movement was like Nazi Germany marching into France. And i had to laugh when sanders got uppity about it. Yea i guess it's only okay if they spread lies like that about Trump and his supporters huh
