The Twinkie Defense at trial, if I recall, wasn't about blood sugar, but that it was out of character for Dan White to eat junk food, thus evidence he wasn't acting rationally and couldn't form the intent for 1st degree murder.
6l a day of soda is not out of character for Lucas. If you told me he drank 12, I'd say "Of course, look at that fat fuck."
The funny thing is that high levels of stimulants can cause things like acute psychosis, violent mood swings, or basically just having a short fuse.
It's buried in the warning labels for amphetamine based ADD meds, though it's listed as a rare set of side effects. I only mention it because if I drink Mostly Normal Person amounts of caffeine if I've
also taken another type of stimulant that day, I get a
really fucking hair trigger temper. I don't get physically violent but I can go from nice and calm to verbally tearing someone's head off in about as long as it takes them to do or say some insignificant thing that wouldn't otherwise bother me at all. Like exist where I can see or hear them.
Assuming I don't take excessive doses of either:
Caffeine + no amphetamines = No problem.
Caffeine alone = No problem.
Amphetamines alone = No problem.
Caffeine + amphetamines = EVERYTHING IN THE UNIVERSE WAS
SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO PISS ME OFF. With the bonus of knowing that's completely irrational but also not being able to do a single thing to stop it.
If he wasn't on meds for his other mental health problems he'd have been at higher risk to having those rare side effects and that fucking much caffeine
(assuming he's not exaggerating about how much he was drinking) could
potentially cause him to fly into a flash-in-the-pan type rage even if he wasn't ordinarily prone to being physically violent.
That aside, given how angry he always sounds in his posts and videos my guess is the
only thing stopping him from flying into a physical rage these days is fear of being sent to jail or being involuntarily committed again.
And, y'know, the big difference being if I went off on someone, physically or otherwise, because I'd voluntarily ingested far too many stimulants, I wouldn't sit around whining to youtube about how it wasn't really my fault and would realize that those actions have consequences and deal with it like an adult.
