Yeah. I'm quickly losing interest because Phil is just winning and winning and winning in 2020. Everything is going his way and it's not fun to follow anymore. And, yes, I know Phil is a miserable loser with a life I wouldn't want and will stay that way if he's contributed $1,000,000. I don't need the spiel.
He still has to catch up with his taxes, and the great thing about Phil is that he is always loading the gun to shoot himself.

How is some sped giving Phil $500 today "digging him a bigger hole"? He already got dug out of most of his real debt by the government.

The "hasn't worked a real job since his 20s"---no shit, and he's still making $120,000 a year at a time with 20% unemployment.

Phil never experiences repercussions for his actions. Watching people throw money at him and him babble endlessly gets boring. I agree that lolcows are meant to be laughed at---watching Phil gets bailed out and meme about he's unkillable isn't exactly funny. I don't blame people for tuning out eventually rather than watch the same old shit.
It’s digging a bigger hole because he has no backup plan for when shit hits the fan. If you have a normal $120k job and you lose it, you have a resume with years of experience and a bunch of connections so even if you can’t get another $120k job you can get something. For Phil when streaming fails that is it, it’s over. He will get a $15 and hour job at best and with no savings and no way to make up all the wasted time.

If you think Phil is gonna win in the end you need to make these assumptions:
1. Phil is going to be streaming at about the same rate of success for the next 30-40+ years.
2. If not, he is going to need to get serious about a career in the next 5 years.
3. If his level of income drops, he will need to cut his spending by over 50 or 60 percent.
4. He needs to start seriously saving hard for retirement ASAP to avoid being the sad 80 year old man working at Walmart or CVS.

That isn’t going to happen and you all know it.

Not to be a downer, but I've been watching phil longer than 99% of the people here. This is the most money I've ever seen him making, man is getting near 300-400$ a day, with today looking like it might be closer to 600 to 700$. Combine that with his victorious bankruptcy. Think the fat boy finally won. least as far as he can with his life.

Combine that with the whole culture of "NO YOU CAN'T HARASS PHIL, HE'LL FAIL ON HIS OWN" that Nigel brought up, and yeah. Fat boys sittin' pretty.
Tbh I think a lot of this is the downer from the chicken littles claiming that the sky is falling in regards to the bankruptcy saga. I mean, there was such a huge let down with that and no recoup. Even with the escort saga we had the hilarity of a lady’s pussy w a kids baseball bat being doxed, and the that we’re the Bronsgeets (however you spell it).

With every other saga we’ve had something- the scrambling after his tax audit, the bullshit with Jaspers $2g reveal, the Leanna leaving bullshit.. there’s always been something but with the bankruptcy bs there’s just.. silence. People got their hopes up so high and then there’s just Phil plodding a long like he always does and people feel insulted by that.
He’s getting more $ now but that will dry up, it always does. Surviving on one hand and prospering on the other- it’s cyclical and this is how it’s going to be for a long time. It’s Phil.

I'm not trying to play devils advocate, but you know the last time I saw someone do the whole "If you think x is going to happen you need to make these assumptions" type list? Bankruptcy, how'd that turn out?

Also I'm curious about your whole "when streaming fails, that is it." "when" what makes you think a career that has lasted almost 15 years at this point, has entire websites and a fucking sport based around it, is just going to go away, exactly?

This exact quote. We all have to understand that we are all here to point and laugh. If you think he's boring then walk away, take a break and live life. Phil ain't going anywhere cuz he can't go anywhere. He got what he wanted...so what; after everything that has happen he's actually been extra salty, extra spergy, extra stupid negative dumbass he's always been. We also must understand that at the end of day, Phil's most hated detractor is Phil himself; give it time he'll fuck up again....

I think that because even after 12 years Phil is in like the 0.01% of people wh still manages to make good enough money to still make a good living. In that time youtube has changed greatly in that time. Also consider how many major youtubers have risen and fallen since youtube started. Fred, What the Buck Show, Ray William Johnson, Tyler Oakley, Laina Morris, the Smosh Tv creators, College Humor, Epic Meal Time, Epic Rap Battles of History, Tobuscus, and many more. If you seriously think Phil can continue this “legacy” for 30-40 more years we have to agree to disagree.

I'm still finding it easy to laugh at Phil and the stupid things he says and does and how fucking bad he is at video games regardless of how much money idiots throw at him. He doesn't have to be destitute for me to shake my head at his hot takes and the dumb mental gymnastics he does to end up liking Daymare more than FF7.
It's not the same, though. Phil used to get legit pissed when he sucked at games and had a massive ego about it. The ego is still there but now he's more about his pahsitive chill bullshit spiel he sells to his cult, and he goes out of his way to avoid games where he can suck. I don't know if it's directly Katherine, but the era with her has completely sucked whatever "life" Phil had.

I doubt winning a bankruptcy case will be consider winning. He tanked his credit score to get away with what 100k? he still owes a shit ton of a money.

Let's also not neglect the fact that Phil is not the only idiot on the planet succeeding despite himself. He's not even nearly the most visible, as evidenced by the fact that nobody even on the internet cares about him except two comparatively tiny groups. Bad Boys are present in every industry and the big ones get recognized by the general public. Think Dennis Rodman. Do you think Phil Burnell has anything approaching that level of notoriety outside of his own head?

You can't think about Phil and his Teflon life. You just can't. Down that road lies madness, because you will think about it while you're working your shit job and coming home to a space that's too small and too cold and it will eat at you. I speak from experience. If you can't laugh at him anymore then I wholeheartedly support stepping back from following him as there's dozens of cows on the farm reaping what they sow. By the law of averages a few of them are going to keep getting away with acting however they want and living the way they want (and if that genuinely bothers you I strongly suggest you avoid reading about Bex Gerber). It doesn't help that in Phil's case he's especially acerbic and very strongly deserves a fall. That may come. It might not. If you need to amuse yourselves elsewhere until that happens, by all means and for your mental health, do so.

While you do, though, just remember that he'll die and decompose just like everyone else and in a hundred years you will very likely have had a larger impact on the world than Phil could ever hope for, and all that would require is something as simple as ejaculating in someone or being ejaculated in yourself. I don't believe in an objective definition of happiness, but I don't think Phil has the first idea of what being happy is, and he never will.

I think there are still some occasions that provide good salt. In the past year or so I’m thinking of CTR, Sekiro, Doom Eternal, and RE 2 Remake come to mind as great moments. The problem lately is he is playing boring RPGs, chill games, and soulsbourne knock offs. The problem with soulsbourne clones is he can just claim they suck and can pretend he actually likes From Software games.

The next 2 upcoming games for good salt are the new From Software game which will drive him crazy between pretending he is a true good hardcore gamer who likes From Software games and bitching about dying hundreds of times. It will drive him crazy. The other one is Cyberpunk 2077 which you know he will be ranting about people being fanboy sheep who can’t thibk for themselves when he rages at the game.

It won’t last forever unless you honestly are going to tell me he will be 70 years old still putting on the vest and gunnar glasses.
If he can get away with doing it that long he'll do it right up until his last minutes in his deathbed, probably asking for tips because he gets that money right away for the funeral and medical bills.

He lives a lifestyle where he needs $100k+ a year and he has zero savings.
If the vest streak keeps going this isn't an issue.

He hasn’t worked a real job since he was in his 20s and once streaming falls under for him he is completely fucked.
Streaming dies when videogames die, and even then just chatting is one of the popular categories on twitch. Streaming sure will die out at some point but its a long way off yet. Phil can keep riding this gravy train a little while longer.

There's really no reason to envy Phil. You need to look at his micro wins in the broader scheme of things. For example, I have far more assets and frankly future prospects than Phil despite earning quite a bit less in the past. Where has that high income got him? on that couch with no transferable skills, with the health profile of someone 15-20 years older, an unemployable discharged bankrupt with the impulse control of a toddler.

Phil's life is a tragic tale, only made watchable because it's happening to someone who clearly deserves it.
