I disagree. His reactions to 'gender politics' mostly come from a place of immaturity and insecurity, not anything ideological or thought out. On the other hand some of his most long-running rants that are political involve wanting universal healthcare. That doesn't mean I think he's left-wing, but that's more substantial evidence than "hur dur pronouns."

Phil strikes me as the sort of guy to think universal healthcare = free healthcare. Then, a few months down the line he bothers to check his tax statements and goes "hey, why did my taxes spike, dood? That's bullshit, there's nothing I can do about it!" I'm doubtful that he can have any really realized political views since he never thinks.

Phil has ignored a $68 tip that puts him well past the $100 mark for a good 15 minutes now. In that time, he's gotten another $30 in tips that he has also ignored for several minutes.

Intentional I assume? Once he gets to $100 the donations pretty much stop so is this his new sleazy tactic; to try and stall before he hits the goal so the feebs keep throwing money?

Any chance we will ever see a point where Phill is every truly happy or successful and if so what do we think that would look like?

Umm, no?

Success is out of the window 11 years already and he is 39, so too late now.

Happiness requires sense of gratitude and ability to love something you do (aaand your wife), which are just a vague memory in his life at this point.

But to actually answer your question, he is successful and happy you fucking idiot, uhm, aaand he LOVES streaming, so fuck off you fucking piece of shit, stop derailing purely phasitive thread.

Yeah, that archive link just triggered my anti-virus with the statement it was trying to send me to a phishing scam url.

I think modern antiviral software doesn't recognize "philling" yet so it throws out phishing alert, it's a common issue.

Yeah spot on. His political ideology is basically just pure selfism.

Watched DarkDave’s Modern Warfare 2 restream of DSP earlier.

Maybe someday, DSP will realize that we exist in a three dimensional reality, and enemies flanking you and getting behind you isn’t “impahssable”. He still has the worst situational awareness I’ve ever seen. He seems to think that enemies will always just be wherever he is facing/aiming. He also completely ignores almost everything the characters are ordering him to do, and if he just followed those orders, it would shockingly make things easier for him.

“Ramirez/Roach! Use the [gadget/weapon] and take out those enemies!” ((DSP continues to sprint around the open and get killed dozens of times, or just sit in one spot, not advancing, just taking pot shots and complaining that enemies keep spawning.))

Also thought it was amusing how DSP kept saying how Hardened difficulty was “unrealistic” because you get killed after two or three direct hits, rather than taking up to ten hits on the easier difficulties. We all know how the human body can absorb multiple gunshots/explosions before going down.

DSP talking about realism in a COD game is hilarious in itself. COD has never advertised itself as a realistic depiction of combat. It’s more like a Michael Bay movie on steroids.
What was amazing was he died about 8 or 9 times by carelessly running across the map, each time getting shot up by a dozen guys and never changed tactics at all just blaming the game. Even a lab rat learns not to press the button that shocks it after pressing it once or twice.

Yes. DSP has been doing that for a long time with all kinds of different games. Whatever his first “strategy” is, he will do that over and over and over again until someone in chat tells him the correct way to do something, or until he takes a break and looks up a strategy guide or video. I guess that’s just an example of DSP’s “I’m always right” attitude, where his initial move is always the best option, and it’s the correct way to play the game, and he just can’t fathom why the game isn’t letting him succeed. I’m sure we’ve all heard him say “the game isn’t letting me do it!”

Someone just suggested to Phil that instead of making it that each time a stream hits the tips goal adding one to the tips streak, have it so that instead of a streak it’s points, so for example, today he got $400 the first stream so that would add 4 to the total instead of 1, giving viewers an incentive to give more to get to a celebration stream sooner.

Phil is considering this, but his one major objection was this: What if someone really wanted to have another celebration stream so in the next two days they donated enough so they would already hit the 200 total. REMINDER it took a minimum of $10k to hit the 100 vest streak.
I love how he kept stressing that the vest celebration was achieved by *so many different people* while he's also clearly entertaining the possibility of just one or two paypigs emptying their bank accounts to get another celebration going quickly, which would just be another paywall stream instead of an actual special stream.
I think the part of DSP's brain responsible for being consistent must have melted a long time ago and the result is that it's simply physically impossible for him to stop wanting to have his own cake and eat it, too.

(Well, unless it's Khat's cake in which case he doesn't want it at all)

I must have completely missed that part in the VICE article. I jokingly said that should have included him in the thread about it.

I actually meant to add another point that would have agreed with you. The example that came to mind for me is when he couched how uncomfortable the FF7 crossdressing made him as him disliking an "edgy joke" when it was obvious he thought it was gross.

(or that it raised uncomfortable feelings inside of him)

When it comes to sexuality in games and being attracted to women, unlike SJWs I don’t think it is political at all. I think he doesn’t believe any of it for a second I think it 100% is about Kat. If she officially left him either he would completely change back to 2017 and before Darksy or would just continue this mature adult thing for the sole reason that he has made such a big deal of this and refuses to look like he has ever been wrong.

Imagine getting up each and every single morning, knowing, in your heart of hearts, that you have to be Phil Burnell.

I couldn't do it, personally.
