I don't usually want to negrate people outside of the farms but wow these honkys make me want to throw a trashcan at each of them.

While STEM like all fields can have a "mheehheh people like us only" attitude and inept people can weasel their way in with friends, it's less likely because say something like an engineering blunder causing a piece of medical equipment to malfunction would fuck over any employer hard. Employing based on anything but qualifications is nuts due to the exact nature of some of this shit.

Goddamn, I never noticed how neutered Marvel movies became once Disney took control. It’s a weird transition from the older cape movies to the more corporate stuff from today; can’t really say if it was for the best or not.

If anyone wants one look at why the Left is acting this way, I think Zero HP Lovecraft on Twitter made a good analysis here (archived version). Not everyone will agree with some of his priors, but he makes a good point: progressiveness has become a new religion, metastasized out of the enlightenment humanist values we started America with. It's like Evangelical Revivalism on steroids, with a self-reinforcing dopamine surge delivered by the connectivity of social media. The more you virtue signal the stronger your conviction grows.

God fucking damn it. I'm almost MATI. "Women, racialized people, and Indigenous" don't do physics because it's "hard", so... affirmative action is the answer here? That's not only untrue but it's fucking patronizing. This shit is why we end up with professors like Rhys McKinnon, the humanities are considered a joke now because universities are so overrun with SJW cancer and their fucktarded revisionist takes.

I can only speak to what I've seen but there are tons of women in STEM, though it's true that engineering and computer science (though increasingly less so) are sausage fests, a lot of that is because women just don't fucking apply because it is never presented to them as a career option in high school, or they switch programs because they are sick of being swarmed by men creeping on them being one of the only women in said sausage fests. It's kind of like men being under-represented in nursing despite being perfectly capable, it's just not presented to them as an option, and they don't want to deal with the stereotype of male nurses being faggots. The "racialized people" thing is just completely fucking inaccurate... STEM and engineering are fucking dominated by Asians and Indians, with a fair amount of blacks from Africa or the Caribbean, either on student visa or first-gen Canadians. Do they not fucking count? If anything it's the humanities where whites are ridiculously over-represented.

Oh and Indigenous people get basically free post secondary education here should they wish to pursue it, so if they're staying on the rez to huff gas instead, that's a whole other issue that isn't going to be solved by lowering standards for them via affirmative action. They self govern so it's their community that needs to light a fire under their asses, we keep throwing money at the problem which fulfills our responsibility as far as I'm concerned. Not that making them dependent on government aid seems to do diddly shit for actually helping them but whatever. Go work as a hideously underpaid guidance counselor on a rez in Shithole, Alaska if you care that much.
