The gist is that they're celebrating Obama's birthday a couple months earlier to spite Trump.
This is really quite pathetic and kind of meaningless besides “Fuck Trump and fuck anyone who says All Lives Matter!” It’s the equivalent of a child acting out because they didn’t get the toy they wanted.
It’s actually something I just noticed; lefty meme responses tend to be so full of butthurt and “I’m totally not mad you guys!” It’s actually possible to see the cope in their posts.
Donald Trump and his presidency has indirectly put Kiwi Farms' fate in jeopardy.
That’s a black mark on his legacy.

Funny thing is that this could've actually worked if they weren't so egotistical themselves. Trump likes talking about himself. Okay, his birthday comes. Acknowledge others birthday. But they're giving him MORE attention while being upset.

Null recently said he hates how politicized the site has become and that on July 1st he plans on making changes, so I take that he's most likely planning on shutting down the politics-based areas of the forums such as this thread, the TES thread and A&N.
I joined here because most other places don't accept conservatives. If true it's sad.

I wouldn't call myself a conservative, at least not in the traditional sense, but the thing that keeps me coming back to this site is most-likely the stuff Null hates. I'll be really saddened if he suddenly decided that these threads need to be nuked, because that's one less outlet for people with less-popular opinions to express themselves online.

Heck, the fact that you can express yourself in any way possible is what makes it so attractive. I've seen everyone from commies to unironic 1488 Hilterboos to everyone inbetween. Granted the extremists tend to get mocked, sometimes rightfully so (cough cough Boxershorts), but the fact that this forum doesn't prevent you from stating any kind of opinion you want is why I feel more at-home here than I would anywhere else.

I thinks this tweet was the best thing to come up during that hashtag

He did say many times that he wasn't happy about the News and Happening areas, because they made the site more politicized and was always on the edge about getting rid of both of them.

I'm in the same boat, and I mostly lurk and don't post. I'm mostly here not for a love of Trump, but because I find his loudest political enemies insane and dangerous, and potentially damaging to the future of the country. I don't want them to "win" for that reason. I'm just grateful for a place to talk and read about things on this subject matter while being away from the online censorship and shaming coming from those people in the usual places.

This 100%. I'm not an uber fan of Trump. There's things about him that I disagree with (he's antivax, anti-climate change, he destroyed Net Neutrality, to name a few off the top of my head), but I find his enemies much, much worse.

I can't remember who said it, I think it was @Syaoran Li, but whoever said it basically said that the schism that divides people now isn't left or right, but whether we have a country at all, and the fact that's being proven to be right makes me terrified.

I'm not Null, but from what I seen from "right wing" users on here, they jump to the globohomo, Jew conspiracy bandwagon. They just blurt out "nigger" and 13/50 as an excuse to rip on Black people. They inject politics in other sections that don't belong; they end up isolating others if you disagree with Trump. Almost like an echo chamber which we make fun of.

Remember when Section 230 was about to be revoked, damn near everybody jumped on the Trump defense train to the extent that Null flipped out on the state of his website.

I see where he's coming from. We need to conduct ourselves better.

I honestly wouldn't have known/remembered it was his birthday if they hadn't flipped their shit.

Also I need to go put my flag out because it's Flag Day, and the Army's birthday.

That is all because all the mainstream websites just bend over for any essay from some fatfuck dangerhair with an title that ryhmes with "Can we have a conversation" or "Is this website supporting this". When they start ejecting their right wing loonies, the right wing loonies will try to find a place to go to. While left wing loonies are left alone. The situation is bad because the echo chambers get stronger.

Reddit pre 2014 era was similar to this website but how have things changed radically in such a short time that even milquetoast common sense is considered "right-wing" like archiving internet web pages or that men and women think differently or there are two genders or FBI statistics.

I can't think of any other forums that allows both batshit insane loonies other than this website.

I find the "AND THIS NEW FCC REGULATION WILL KILL THE INTERNET" hysterics to be a cow community in and of itself. Every few years we're all supposed to freak out over net neutrality and anyone who doesn't is a corperate shill. By the time something does come along that is worth protesting, the boy who cried wolf will be in full effect.
This outrage culture is driving people insane, and Null is not immune.

Section 230 is not and was not "about to be revoked", that was merely discussed. There is legislation to that effect I believe, but it is not anywhere close to becoming actual law. Know when to freak out and when to calmly say "Trump is wrong on this issue".

As a Black person, the left wing loonies annoy me. The right wing loonies DISGUST me. Although now, it's back and forth.

anti-climate change, he destroyed Net Neutrality
Not to be rude, but shouldn't the fact that Net Neutrality was repealed and none of the doomsday claims made have come to pass suggest to you that you were wrong for opposing its repeal?

If I supported Net Neutrality because I thought its repeal would do bad things A, B and C, it gets repealed anyway yet bad things A, B and C never happen, why would I still want Net Neutrality? Personally, that would suggest to me that I was wrong about opposing the repeal of Net Neutrality.

Also, you've seen with this pandemic firsthand how conservatives have been right that science is being politicized, that their predictions and models are wildly inaccurate, that the actions suggested are extreme overreactions and that the left is hijacking these issues to bring about their desired agenda... and yet you're STILL going along with the climate change thing?

Seriously, at what point will you consider reassessing?

Net neutrality offers protection for the consumer so that companies don't overreach and gouge their customers with shady practices.

People have a right to be concerned.

Trump outright claimed that climate change was a "hoax" for the Chinese to get ahead of the United States.

I'm not saying to be all climate doomer but regulations are out in place to decrease our pollution output in the United States.

Null also declared about how he wants to start a family (haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa) and that the people who for no good reason get upset at him posting their personal details on the internet for people that hate them to see make that impossible. Those jerks. It sounds like if anything he'd shut down the lolcow parts of the site... if he were acting on anything close to rationality. Honestly from the way I read that post it just made me feel more than ever that he, like some of his forebears, is using being an advocate of truly free speech as a trollshield and a virtue signal... he's more wrapped up in being the heroic guardian of a place where people can say what they want (might wanna rethink the wordfilters then O champion) than he is with actual free speech. He even acknowledges in it that people would be able to say more of what they want on Twitter if his "doomsday" scenario came to pass... and that would be bad because this site, here, might not be feasible anymore. So he clearly doesn't actually want a truly anarchy-like freedom of speech across the net, he just wants to be allowed to be the ruler of it and is mostly butthurt that he might lose his partial monopoly on it if the tech giants were forced to let people say what they like on the popular platforms.

Now, that said, I don't doubt that running this place is a thankless pain in the ass that anyone would be glad to be rid of and I will absolutely not blame him if he does. I may doubt his sincerity on his stated reasons for running the place but he did run it and regardless of opinions on how well he does it, we wouldn't have it without him. If he decides he's just not having fun with it anymore (which again would indicate this was never really about principle but what amused him but nevermind) and wants to end it, that's his call, it should be respected and understood as such, and I personally won't resent him for it in the least. The Farms dropping, or the politics part dropping, would certainly leave a bit of a hole in my day... they've been a valuable source of procrastination that would be difficult to replace. But it's his and if he says it's time for it to go, then it's time.

What Trump says What Trump Does

I got into that a bit with Hulk in the 2020 thread awhile ago, but the gist of it is that for all of the doom and panic that the hippies keep raining down on everyone's head about Trump's environmental regulation rollbacks, the reality of it is that the overall pollution in the United States not only hasn't increased as a result of these actions, they've actually been decreasing.

Sadly I don’t think it’s possible for us to conducts ourselves better, especially towards black people.
The fact that so many people jumped off the Trump defense is proof of that.

What Trump says What Trump Does
Trump said the Wall. The Wall happened. Credit where it's due.

Are you trying to say that Trump shouldn't always be taken literally?

Mind you, the Left said Abolish the Police. A couple cities are already taking that into action.

Which is why I get worried when anybody says something.

There are already antitrust laws on the books and they've been there for over 100 years. If cable companies do engage in anticompetitive practices, then by definition the law has already failed. Therefore if the law has already failed to stop such practices, why would another law not fail too?

Trump outright claimed that climate change was a "hoax" for the Chinese to get ahead of the United States.
These climate change policies serve only to increase the cost of doing business by adding additional costs to maintain compliance with unnecessary regulations, increase the cost of energy by heavily relying on so called green sources and cause massive job losses.

Meanwhile China, with no such concerns, is free to use cheap sources of energy like coal, ignore environmental and pollution regulations and exploit cheap labor. And in those conditions they manufacture solar panels and other "green technology" and sell it back to us.

So yeah, I'd say allowing China to get ahead of us is an accurate description of the situation.

I'm not saying to be all climate doomer but regulations are out in place to decrease our pollution output in the United States.
Pollution is not climate change. Water regulations are not climate change. Particulate regulations are not climate change. Hazardous material regulations are not climate change.

Stop conflating pollution with climate change like how the left conflates legal immigration with illegal immigration or protesters with rioters/looters.

What he says should be put in the context of his larger stated intent. Which is usually stated right along with whatever he says that causes people to lose their shit.

The wall was part of a larger stated intent to secure the border. A lot of people took that as it being a literal solid, stone wall and lost their shit over that in various ways. It turned out to be a barrier fence because that was what was actually necessary to secure the border. There are still TDS sufferers trying to deny he kept his promise because it's not an actual wall... but his stated overall goal was always securing the border.

Trump's larger stated intent in threatening 230 was to end the heavyhanded and blatant censorship and propagandizing going on by supposedly public forums on social media. Whether that means he'll actually completely revoke 230 is unknown, what is known is the goal of stopping Twitter, Facebook, and so on from silencing users they simply disagree with and letting those they agree with do whatever the hell they want.

At the risk of falling back on an old glib statement, when dealing with Trump it's better to look at the big picture of what he's trying to achieve rather than his initial statement of how he'll achieve it.
