Half a year ago it was Tylophone notary. I think I like this one better.

Nick's actually wrong about that bracketing. If you omit letters at the end of a word (such as to match tense by changing a plural to a singular), rather than at the end of a sentence, you indicate it with empty brackets, as the brief did. This is a Bluebook rule.

So Typo Beard is right this time. Oof.

That said, would changing "he becomes" to "[they become]" be correct too?

Possibly. Although to be completely pedantic, generally "empty brackets" means empty, and these have a space between them. Also the Bluebook rule for ellipses to indicate omissions in a quotation is SPACE DOT SPACE DOT SPACE DOT SPACE. That's Bluebook rule 5.3(b)(ii).

I think they found what they needed to bring Marchi back in and are going whole hog. They likely believe that Funimation is dead to rights on a couple parts of theirs. I have, however, been wrong in the past and will own up to it if I am.

I like both of those. A legal news show doesn't have to be a thrill ride for me, and the Zack case being stuck in legal purgatory is entertaining.

The unfocused shows are my least favorite. I really don't care what Typo Beard thinks of a videogame he hasn't played, or what his favorite pancake house is, or whatever.

Best part of last night was the Hellraiser watch party. Goddam I never realized Garrick was in that movie.

On the main stream Rackets managed to make Jamie Marchi's Reply Brief interesting. I think we can all agree we would rather forget Jamie Marchi exists altogether. We can only hope "the beetus" gets her sooner rather than later.
