Victor Mignogna v. Funimation Productions, LLC, et al. (2019) - Vic's lawsuit against Funimation, VAs, and others, for over a million dollars.

It's not sucking his dick to point out that he's been the only consistently competent lawyer in the whole case. If I ever had to hire a lawyer in Texas and for whatever reason only had these guys to choose from, Sam's the guy. Unless I were trying to sell an entire restaurant chain to Hormel and in that case Ty. Pretty sure that's never going to happen.
It seems like you think my comments were specifically referring to you but is in response to several people fellating him in this thread and in Weeb Wars sub forum.

I'll just throw out some quotes from just the past two pages in this thread:
The best part of this shit show is how Marchis strip mall lawyer has basically showed all the other big boy lawyers up by writing competent briefs and not engaging in showboating.
Really? Is a lawyer being competent the best part of this whole thing?
They have flair, but it comes second. He is putting the strong arguments first, letting others do their thing, and then adding his flair once he has something solid.
Don't trip on his pants while taking them off.
I've said it before but I will not be surprised if, win or lose, Ty contacts Sam for help on future cases, much like he did with Martinez-Hsu. Sam has been professional throughout, hasn't engaged in bullshit filings
Other posters have already pointed out that Johnson has engaged in scummy tactics before and specifically brought up things like Nick and his streams. He doesn't have some kind of moral or professional high ground.

The other parties in this lawsuit have been so shit that they have caused people to talk about Johnson's accomplishments in hyperbole. I would not describe what posters like you do as dick sucking. But several people have either been teetering on it or outright doing it. It's pathetic.

I'm not taking offense, I've certainly been one of the people most complimentary toward him.

Kind of. At least one of them. This whole case has really ramped up my shame and self-loathing at even being connected to this vile profession.

There's also the possibility that the appeals court rules just on these briefs already filed in Vic's favor because of the court record next week, but I'd say that one is so small a chance that it's barely perceptible. But that'd be fucking hilarious if they did.
They have to work a bit faster with all the Corvid problems, just kick back the clear cases fast---

As much as even Johnson's rate looks exorbitant when you think about it in terms of your own money, and would you pay this just for the privilege of shitposting on Twitter, look at the absolutely outrageous shit Lungmoine bills for absolute garbage results.
what ever happened to fighting for your liberty with treasure, blood and toil?

Anything in the six figures rates as blood and treasure and toil. Ty has talked a lot of shit about how if the law doesn't work, we're just going to be shooting it out in the streets, and he's right, but he probably shouldn't be saying that shit.

I dont listen to Ty anymore... Robert Barnes is my new Law waifu. everytime i see him on stream he is fantastic.

People endlessly giving praise to Johnson is just as pathetic as the asspats given to Ty initially. I don't see why people wash his balls so much for being competent.

No one's endlessly praising him. Of all the lawyers, he's been the most professional with the best briefs, in my opinion. Saying that serves two purposes: to remind people that a strip mall lawyer was the best of the defense lawyers involved, and also because it has to chap Lemoine's ass to know that we have praise for him for doing the best out of them and we can acknowledge it. Two-for-one, and I will always opt to make Lemoine seethe.

And at the end of the day he's still a slimeball lawyer. The gif he had of Vic "pulling" Jaime's hair immediately comes to mind. He's good at his job but his job is to make money and defend his client whether it's true or not.

If memory serves that was actually the opening to Lemoine's PowerPOint he had for the TCPA. The one that didn't get past that gif because Chupp didn't want to see it.

Other posters have already pointed out that Johnson has engaged in scummy tactics before and specifically brought up things like Nick and his streams. He doesn't have some kind of moral or professional high ground.

He mentioned the GoFundMe as a defense tactic to show how Vic should be seen as a public figure since it had raised so much, but also to assert that this was a tactic to silence "victims". Unlike Lemoine, his briefs weren't replete with additional defamation that made up 75% of the documents. He actually did some work and provided actual substance to the briefs. Pointing that out, again, is not sucking him off. It's commending him for a job well done.

No one's endlessly praising him.
If you'll notice I didn't single out one person and specifically said "people." It's a collective pattern I've noticed and find cringy. I have to imagine some members do it more often than others but I don't care enough to actually prove it on an individual level.

No, it was Sam.

Sam is a good lawyer but he still engages in tactics any stereotypical lawyer will as shown by the above and in what you're responding to. Again, people like Lemon's scumminess and Ty's incompetentence has really deluded the conversation. Just cause he isn't as shitty as Lemon doesn't mean he's running some clean campaign. Which good for him as it's worked for him so far and has earned him the admiration of many on the forum.

So merely pointing out that the dude has made strong arguments first, added flair later is sucking him off? The hell kind of lightless world do you live in?
Your post was in response to a post that was in response to another posts I used as example saying that Sam's the best part of this whole thing. Someone responds that Sam showboats just like the others. And your response is that it's fine cause his arguments are that good. And hey you like him.

Now to me the phrasing and context teeters your response over "merely pointing out" onto admiration. It's kinda like how I phrased people praising him for what should be the standard legal work as fellating him. My inflammatory phrasing certainly seems to have struck a nerve.

You also when onto repeat your point.

I don't think anyone has denied that he is a lawyer.

People forget that Sam Johnson publicly hopped on the Nick Man Bad bandwagon after he won. He wanted no less than $50,000 in sanctions, in part, based on what a third-party had said about his client, whom he had never mentioned previously.

Lemoine at least talked about Nick and the GoFundMe before he asked for money.

First, I'm sure Marchi demanded it, and secondly, it wouldn't make much sense to not at least try it. You're already filing a motion for fees and sanctions, it's automatic since you won the TCPA, so it doesn't cost much extra to stick that in.
If memory serves that was actually the opening to Lemoine's PowerPOint he had for the TCPA. The one that didn't get past that gif because Chupp didn't want to see it.
Lemonparty's powerpoint started with a picture of a dumpster fire, if I'm not mistaken.

My favorite part of the case was the absolute zero level of fucks Chupp gave about Lemongasp's PowerPoint.
Chupp didn't really even want to hear Lemons talk it seemed too. But that was more for just everyone in this case.

And I bet he tried to pawn the "work" on that Powerpoint off on Vic, too.
