I guess this is a good time to read up and learn about this guy. Any good places to start? Is the cow wiki up to date?

You can't honestly be surprised by this. We live in a world where NAMBLA is still a thing. Of course someone would attempt to help him. I'm surprised that there's no one in the local police department that tried.

He's was never really an entertaining lolcow to follow. He mostly just tweeted random stuff about butts and shitting, plus a lot of his lore is some Doritos Jacked Black, nasty, disturbing shit. The only entertaining part is this bit here where he gets thrown in a cage for his miserable life.

First off: like everyone else here, I actually did a little dance at my desk as soon as I saw the confetti and giant red letters of Nick Bate being in jail. I'm glad to see this sick smug fuck finally getting justice, and for Amber to get a new start to recovery and at least feeling safe.

But does anyone know if his family/mom can be charged with anything? From what we could all tell it seems obvious that they were trying to shut Amber up and make Nick look normal after painting the walls and cleaning his apartment because they knew of the police and investigators visiting. Also, even worse... the charges state he's done this to Amber several times... and nothing seemed to be put into action until Amber told her DAD, the only guy to get the ball rolling for his daughter, while her own mother would rather keep Nick safe from arrest. I hope they get what's coming to them, too... people who apologize or try to protect a rapist or pedophile and keep the abused child quiet are just as bad as the pedophile themselves.

Could Amber's dad get full custody? I had a similar situation to this in my childhood but I can't imagine the whole family trying to protect the abuser and I dunno what the law could do about that.

I had this same sentiment in the last thread. While I'm not well-versed in laws regarding child abuse, I really hope that Nick's mom wouldn't be able to get away with not reporting her daughter's abuse. She basically shielded Nick at Amber's expense. Unless Amber told her she could probably claim she had no idea what was happening, even though I don't believe that for a second. Unfortunately, although I would like Nick's family to get more than a slap on the wrist, I highly doubt there's enough there to charge them. :(

I've known about Nick since 789chan but I could never be compelled to laugh about him because he was always some shit encrusted, pedo motherfucker. I never thought the law would catch up to the asshole but here we are. I'm not here to laugh or crack jokes but breathe in relief this retard is contained in some manner. Goddamn.

I actually just sat through the LARP video and his room tour video and good God is he unhealthy. I don't even understand how, he's not severely overweight like Chris and other lolcows are but he tires out almost instantly just from talking.

He certainly won't be able to run from anybody while in prison, that's for certain.

The part that makes me the most mad is when his smug ass turns the camera on himself and he shakes his head in disapproval, like he's so far ahead of his time and looks down on the pedestrian task of throwing a birthday party, fuck him.

I don't think Thom was a pedofork, just an autistic, furry, SJW type. I'm pretty sure his motivation in protecting Nick was literally because he found Nick amusing and didn't want his personal lulz to dry up. He seems to have gotten bored with it around the time he became a tranny.

Honestly if his twitter handle is in the archive of Nick's twitter someone should do some digging and make a thread about him and maybe that Jessa chick as well. All the people in Nick's circle were kind of lolcows in their own right.

Completely agree. Nick Bate was/is never entertaining. He's just... repulsive, and not in the same way , say, Chris is. While Chris is largely laughable, Bate is just so utterly and completely fucked up he's not even funny.

If what we've been told and speculated is true, and she really did protect/enable Nick while knowing something was going on, then she's waaaaay worse than Blob.
