Pondering whether cybernetic implants make you less human is a staple theme in cyberpunk stories and fictional settings. So is escaping by breaking scenarios in a dream or virtual reality, so is idealist vs pragmatic conflict regarding treatment of limited supplies, so is foreshadowing using divination.

Read a real book if you think anything you listed was at any capacity original.

Forget Fallout Equestria, are bronies going to write an MLP version of TLOU2? That game is also a violent and edgy miseryfest bordering on being the creator's torture porn and the main character is even a lesbian who turns GRIMDARK over bad things happening to her. It's like Druckmann was too preoccupied with his new character Abby being his waifu and got a Fallout Equestria fanfiction author to write Ellie's side of the story for him :story:

The kind of people most likely to write a fic like that would have either left the MLP fandom a long time ago, or they would hate TLOU2.

Fallout Equestria 76: ten thousand pages of misery porn retelling one pony's attempt to build a house and kill a dragon while lacking fingers. Ends on a tragic note as pony glitches trough terrain and ends up stuck between rocks as it's friends get ripped apart by dragon thing. It's like Moby Dick except the bad guy is Todd Howard and physics of the world.

Then again, the entire autism misery binge reminds me of a Fallout Dust Permadeath run. Everyone and everyone is trying to kill you, including your own thirst and hunger and sleep and sanity. And the fucking tunnellers are everywhere.

Kay, i'm kinda sad that i have to reveal my power level so soon but oh well.
I actually read the whole thing back to back a fair few years ago, together with a good portion of horizons (3 times longer than the og, kinda better but more edgy).
And i enjoyed it, its alright.
Keep in mind that i know close to nothing about the creator or bronies in general and i like to keep it that way, nor did i know english well enough to tell how well it is written.
The story is kinda edgy at the start and has a few weird inclusions that you would not often see in a book but overall its length helps it more than hurts, mostly because you can treat .The book like a on and off kinda thing.
Funnily enough i think this kinda shitty fanfiction thing is way better than what bethesda was able to pull off in F4 and 76.
Maybe i'm just too big of a fallout-fag to judge things objectively.
KKat is pretty much just like i expected, you don't write this much violent mlp bideogame fanfiction without having all kinds of problems.

I didn't see any mention of the fully produced and recently released Audiobook version of this fanfiction. First version is with a single voice actress, and the second version still in production will have a full cast apparently. It's almost 80 fucking hours long.

The Indiegogo campaign received almost twice as much money as they were asking for. It is truly remarkable. Brony I know purchased a copy after the fact, if anyone's interested I'll ask if he'll send me a copy so I can post it. Might have to be in MEGA or something, not sure if it will exceed the upload limit for a post or not.

And yes, for those wondering, it does include the lesbian horse chapter. It'd be amazing to hear what the chick who narrated this fucking mess thinks about all of it. Must have been a good paycheck at least for how much she had to read, record, re-record.

Just because Equestria Daily was having some issues earlier or whatever, I was reminded of the Legendary ED page on this fucking book. It has the fanart, the clop side story approved by Kkat, and a magnificent comments section.
