It's always this. You can hear it on his inputs. In Souls games, for instance, you'll hear him press to roll, his character begins the roll, Phil fucked up because he rolled too early/late, then you hear wild mashing, Phil gets crushed by something/rolls off a cliff, "WHAT. I didn't do that. I didn't do that at all.", sausage mode on couch, "Wauw, what a great game."
Phil has stated in the past that he double-taps every button input regardless of the game, and that this is a holdover muscle memory thing he developed playing fighting games in order to "make sure the moves come out".

I'm by no means an expert at fighting games but wouldn't double tapping buttons for a fighter cause your shit to mess up. As I understand, fighting games require precision button presses and joystick movements.

If he revives the Back in the Day segment, buckle up for a lot of autistic detractor gold dust. Unless Phil takes the time to go back and watch some of his old videos again, these stories are going to be laden with discrepancies because the stories were loaded with more lies and embellishments than he can remember. Like that story about meeting one of the guys that humiliated him in Street Fighter, but he swapped names between tellings so his supposed vivid memory was obviously fabricated.

It's a good sign of where we're at in the Phil Cycle. When Phil is making money and starts really feeling himself, he starts to do things that are exteme low-effort, ego-stroking, and often over-confident. This idea is the peak of all three of those. Bonus points for it also being something he said he would never do again, and previously insulted people for suggesting. He either thinks he can remember these stories, or he thinks he is above people picking at the flaws now. As always, this assessment is incorrect.

See now that's an interesting though experiment. If Phil had just let it die naturally he could have come back with a "Let's see if we can beat the previous steak." Nothing people like more than overcoming a challenge. Except for Phil, who wants everything on easy mode.

It's more than that. Remember, we live in his head, he reads everything and EVERYTHING bothers him. WAY too much. Let's say when he fucked up his math, he acknowledged it and reset the streak. Obviously that's something we would discuss, and Phil knows it, so he says "I would've gotten it anyway" and refuses to reset the streak, because he can't handle whatever we would've said, even though what we have to say now is way worse, since Phil made it that way.

This has been a theme throughout his entire life, and especially since he earned himself a bad rep. Pulling off a Band-Aid really fast is too painful, so he leaves it on and looks stupid.

Says he dislikes nutri grain bars, which have about 12g of sugar per bar, because it has too much sugar, and he prefers Costco muffins, which have at least 30g of sugar per muffin.

If he was good at math, he wouldn't have had to file for bankruptcy.

It indeed would. If you're trying to get moves to come out with a "just to be sure it registered" approach, what you need is either a better fight-stick, or stop being Phil.

@Surly Muppet Sounds like a good time. Seeya there. lol

How come he sucked at doing the double jump in jak and daxter and ratchet and clank then?

You double jump in those games by literally double tapping the jump button

Because you need to press it with something approaching the correct timing. From what I understand in that series, too late or too soon doesn't cause the double jump to activate.

do some ltg shit and charge $50 to turn on the camera lmao
Doesn't he already do this? He just calls it the pre-stream. When he collects enough money he turns on the camera and starts playing games.

Although if he had some pre-set goal for turning on the camera, he wouldn't be able to wildly rock back and forth while he drones on for 2 hours about all the different ways you can give him money.

But why even hide it? His autistic rocking back and forth would actually appeal to his wheelchair audience, and may bring in even more tard bux. He should just leave the camera on and rock all he wants. I'm sure his fans are also swaying heavily after sending their tip, waiting in anticipation to see their message pop up and hear their shout-out from Phil.

That's not deliberate on his part.

Bingo. That's the real reason it's off.

Phil is incapable of shrugging off being made fun of, and the rocking is about the only thing he has hidden where doing so lessens that.

Finally here is my chance to link MY ALL TIME FAV DSP VIDEO!

Finally here is my chance to link MY ALL TIME FAV DSP VIDEO!

I'm disappointed it doesn't have the zoomed in portion of the one video (which I cannot find) where @Comma got their avatar from. The rocking and T-posing are amazing and would have fit right in.

Did he ever give any explanation for this? It's like the one time I'm tempted to pozload my neghole.
The explanation is simple. It never happened and if it did, it was only based on a snippet of truth. Also if you watch detractor videos you are a moron and need to seriously not believe everything on the internet. Phil's stream is about positive interaction and whatever this "rocking" meme means I don't even understand. Phil is rocking? Like playing rock music? So stupid. Anyways we only have an hour left and still have a ways to go if we want to hit that tips goal...

Why is he playing Nier Automata again?
because he doesn't go back to play games he's already beaten, there's no point since he's already beaten them (according to him when someone asked if he was going to play the other routes in fire emblem)
