The thing is, I can get why it would be stressful if a lot of assholes suddenly decided you were evil, constantly harassed you, and not a single fact you might offer or defence you could muster would stop it - would, in fact, make it worse. And to compound the problem, the people calling you evil are people you not only once trusted as friends, but you know that they're doing it for their own personal gain, and it turns out they've always been willing to throw you under the bus for even the slightest reason.

That would be why so many of the mods quit, because that is a shitty situation where nothing you say will make it better. The reason I don't have any sympathy for them is because that poisonous atmosphere is one they encouraged to develop, ignoring all signs that they were letting the lunatics take over the asylum. There was plentiful evidence that people like Koala's March were opportunistic grifters who don't actually care about anyone else, that letting troons have any say would cause the downfall of the forums, that they were helping construct the purity spiral and aggressive purging of wrongthink that would, eventually, come for them.

Nothing they said would ever have been good enough, but they also weren't at all willing to do what actually needed to be done, which was ban the assholes from both sides. They didn't want to be seen as transphobic, though, and so had an easily exploitable weakness that almost destroyed the entire site and made them miserable - and after all that the troons mostly flounced anyway, because as we know, they can never be happy and you will never placate them.

They made their own bed. They should have known better. Even now, they still see most of the users who engaged in that witch-hunt as doing what they thought was the right thing and therefore still good-faith participants, rather than being concerned that such a witch-hunt based on what they consider lies happened so easily and will happen again, most likely keeping them as the targets.

Tl;dr: The Farms repeatedly pointed out how they were creating the exact environment that led to these mental breakdowns, and they still pretend that it was a couple of bad apples rather than the forum being rotten to the core. My bet for the next attempted coup is around the election, when politics has everyone riled up and they start realising Lowtax will never sell, and they'll come for Jeffrey and his most favoured mods.

Logan is sucking jeffrey’s dick to keep some sort of position on SA, which isn’t surprising. But I thought KM was butthurt about not getting the “marketing job” and shat on Logan’s so-called portfolio, so why would logan even bother with her? They must think KM is really critical to the success of the forums, which is laughable.
