Tumblr Nose has been around for a long time, even (ironically) before Tumblr. I've seen it in kids books from the sixties, maybe other illustration work. It can be used properly as a design choice if you know what you're doing, but because Tumblr ruins everything, Tumblr Nose is everywhere now. Even "Penny Arcade" has Tumblr Nose Syndrome these days, to the point where they have Tumblr Nose, Tumblr Ears and even Tumblr Hands! I blame the webcomic "Cucumber Quest" for making Tumblr Nose popular again. The comic uses a Golden Books style of illustration and appeals to Tumberites. They just copy the Tumblr Nose thing to look artistic, but only wind up looking autistic instead.
