Diseased #Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

Today is Saturday, the final day of the week that Donal said he'd pay Nasser.

It's important to point out that Nasser has not yet been paid, despite Donal claiming to have finalized the books six days ago.

Nasser has been evicted from his apartment. His life has been turned upside down over this.

Donal was last seen in the passenger seat of a vehicle, headed at high speeds towards Tennessee, where he says he'll be for at least ten days.

I will keep you updated.View attachment 1668555

We are safe and sound IN TENNESSEE, not anywhere else. And I certainly am not spending Nasser’s money on 100 varieties of beef jerky.

Let's do a fair comparison, watch both of these videos from this week and explain who's more entertaining:

Other than stupid emoji's tags, explain to me what is wrong with WC? Or just keep calling me Internet gay / autistic / mad at the Internet / etc ( I don't care, I'm nobody and I'm not here to exploit your community )

I'm also guessing KiWi fruit is about 88% soy

I followed your forums rules btw, this is not about ME, this is about the IDEA of what CG is supposed to mean exactly, I'm not like @FROG trying to milk you, I'm just here for the lulz tbh

I don't understand, can you explain more please?

BTW, I only started following WC AFTER Cecil changed his variant cover which I bought, I have no idea about WC before that

WarCampaign stylized themselves as @FROG's Praetorian Guard and was basically gatekeeping anyone who "didn't fit the mold" of ComicsGate (or what their idealized version of it). They also attacked anyone who decided they were leaving and this was starting to leave a bad taste in people's mouths. Others (including myself) were warning @FROG that his Praetorian Guard could turn on him just like the historical Praetorian Guard did to 11 Roman Emperors ("Hail Caesar," indeed).

Why should anyone care about twelve guys streaming on DLive? Which is all WC is at this point, as best I can tell. Once Pope Ethan excommunicated y'all you shriveled up and died. No Martin Luther 95 Theses, apparently, etc. Okay I'll stop. Pretty much like WarCampaign.

What more can you tell me about Micah Ian Wright? He has an impressive resume working as a writer for such companies as Nickelodeon, Warner Brothers, Wildstorm, Midway Australia, THQ, 2K Games/Take 2 Interactive, Riot Games, Activision, Ubisoft and Treyarch. It appears he works mostly in the field of video games and television working on something called "First Nations Experience", what is his relation to comics and comicsgate?

His twitter is fresh too, the old one was suspended so it's likely he had a tard fit at one point. You've peaked my interest but you've got to give me more, what makes this guy worthy of his own thread?

I think Tim is well positioned for future crowdfunds as his campaigns have experienced a rapid growth since the declines after Trump Space Force and the transcript saga. Some key points below:

- The first Kamen America made $20,045 from 1,023 backers on Kickstarter and a further $18,765 from 1,613 backers on Indiegogo. The combined total for both campaigns was $38,810 from 2,636 backers.

- The first Kamen America offered a 56 page book for $10 physical or a $5 digital. This gives a price per page of 0.18 which is pretty good value and the average backer contributions on both platforms were $19.59 (KS) and $11.63 (IGG).

- Kamen America 1 replaced Trump Space Force as Tim's most backed book which had 1,605 backers but raised $72,517.

- Kamen America 2 (with 3 hours remaining) has raised $64,869 from 2,134 backers and will now replace Kamen America as his most backed book. I expect Tim will launch KA2 on Indiegogo at some point too.

- Kamen America 2 offers a 64 page book for $10 physical or a $5 digital. This gives a price per page of 0.16 cents again which is good value and the average backer contribution is currently $30.40.

Impossible Stars has raised $89,242 from 1,706 backers and offers a 60 page book for $25. It has a price per page of 0.42, which is pretty steep and the average backer contribution was $52.31. Impossible Stars has outraised Kamen America monetarily, however the book is $15 more expensive for roughly the same page count. It's important to note that Impossible Stars has currently failed Zack's own standards for success, after he previously stated that any book with under 2000 backers he considered to be a failure. Since Impossible Stars has entered indemand, it's probable that eventually it will cross the 2000 backer finish line and Zack can breathe a sigh of relief.

As it stands now Impossible Stars is Zack's least backed project, with less total current backers than Pandemic and The Ballad of No. I think the poor performance is due to a variety of factors.

1. Competition. Back during 2018 and 2019 there wasn't really much competition for most of the Comicsgate crowdfunders, now it seems that there is a new book every week whether from Comicsgate creators themselves or projects like BRZKR and Nocturnal by Scott Synder.

2. Comparison. Impossible Stars looks to be a terrible option for backers compared to other campaigns. The price per page is outrageous, the art amateurish, the cover uninspired and a lack of backer incentive. If we compared Rekt Planet and Impossible Stars, Ethan offers extra comics, trading cards and a PVC Cyberfrog toy all for $25 while Zack offers nothing but the book.

3. Lack of Engagement. Zack has ceased livestreaming and now relies on appearances on Ethan's channel to promote his books. Most newer Comicsgaters don't even know who the guy is. When Liam Gray was at the height of his popularity there were dozens of viewers in the chat who didn't even know who Zack was or why he was important.

4. Previous Poor Products. The secret is basically out that Zack's writing isn't really all that great, especially since he talked such big game for years. Lost Souls was okay, Iron Sights was pretty terrible and Godking was a fucking mess. I haven't read Iron Sights 2 yet but I've heard from people who enjoyed the first one that the sequel wasn't as great, if that's even possible.

Then you have stuff like this:

This is from Pandemic, the perspective points were left in this panel and were exported to the final product. This comes from dannphan's review of Pandemic below:

And Zack's response?
View attachment 1667338

You'll notice Zack's biggest problem in the comment, he's not only the writer but also the editor of his own books.

Teddy Spaghetti also successfully sued Indiegogo and got them to settle after they violated their own Terms of Service by cancelling his Alt Hero Q campaign after it had successfully funded. I'm certainly not defending the guy but when it comes to taking the fight to the establishment, he certainly has an impact.
Good update.

I'll add that own editor bit is a recurring problem in comics history. It hurt early Image, Marvel and DC before some reform was instituted, and continues to be an issue in a comics industry where editors are more and more a luxury item.

More backers, less money = cheap PDF digital copies sold.

A more affordable product through a superior distribution system reaching more people...

That's interesting because I got the impression it was because they insulted Cecil's Internet GF Anna

You got any examples of them doing 'gatekeeping' and how's that different from when @FROG did that to WC with their comic?

*EDIT* My entertainment does not involve how 'poplular' it is, usually its from how much I laugh, WC makes me laugh a lot, this is not about money to me

*EDIT* If I cared about how 'popular' my entertainment is, I would swallowing up Marvel / DC 's / Star War's dogshit and pretend be happy about it like the 97% of this gay Earth is doing

*EDIT* Quotes aren't working, trying to figure it out

KAMEN AMERICA is extremely appealing. That book is going to continue to grow, especially if the third campaign offers the first two books. $125K.

I haven't seen us hit the ceiling yet. Most campaigns who are doing the right thing (marketing every day, fulfilling a decent book on time) are growing at a steady pace. Those who aren't, the reasons are pretty obvious.

Prices aren't out of line when you consider that most of us are just producing annuals. Spending $25 to get this year's GRAVEYARD SHIFT is reasonable. It's what it costs to go to the movies. Buying every new CyberFrog book this year will cost you $50. With the reprint material, $120.

These aren't monthly comics prices. But they are pretty close to what comic book fans spend at the LCS every month.

I'm interested in the "celebrity tie in" gimmick. Mike Miller tried it with Dean Cain, and it flopped pretty hard. But Dean Cain is no Keanu Reeves. BRZRKR was an amazing presentation, with Keanu seemingly fully involved.

Richard Meyer got Stallone, and it did okay. Not stellar, but pretty good.

We'll see how the new Miller project does, and also Caanan and Antonio's work with that food critic YouTuber.

I'll take guesses now.

Antonio and Caanan will get $60K.

Mike will hit $200K.

First, as to the high seas, people pirate anything with a significant profile. Digital or not. I do find the lack of piracy of CG material telling. Nobody wants to read this stuff badly enough for someone to scan them. So yeah niche audience that isn't growing!

I'm sure Bill Willingham finds a creator being stolen from hilarious @FROG.

What you cited IS an example of that.
WC just didn't like the idea that Anna "cut in front of the line" with her shitty cover and attacked her.

Also, don't double or triple post.
The edit button exists for a reason.

Sorry about the double / triple post, I'll starting using the EDIT starting here:

How much did Anna milk WC thru that drama though?

That's the part I don't understand, why not keep milking the drama, WC was the perfect heels, it would be like if WWF laid off all their bad guys in the 90's (which I thought it was part of the Dynamite 'plan')

*EDIT* Stone Cold Steve Austin started off as a heel then became loved, what if Vince just fired him for real after messing with the Hart Foundation in 1997?

*EDIT* Other part is @FROG not wanitng my $5 a month just cause I always root for the bad guys, WC are the 'bad boys' of CG

*EDIT* BTW, after CECIL changed his variant cover and @FROG supported it, guess how much money I spent in CG since then? ZERO, so keep it up, you are saving me money for other things just like Marvel / DC / Star Wars decided to do <INSERT DUMB TAG HERE>

*EDIT* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSSgaEJvS-Y @FROG milking the KiWi farmers.. LIVE AUCTION style, I love the Internet and your forums #blamewarcampaign

*EDIT* Hate to burst your Internet bubble, go to all your comic book shops, ask the owners what they think about CG, you are STILL the scum of the EARTH and are NAZI's to boot, I did that locally (not revealing my location by KiwI rules) it is true

They weren't self-appointed, Fatboy appointed them.
Please explain more and how is it different when @FROG acted as the gatekeeper to WC 's comic?

Why does it matter? WC "broke up" with Frog, remember? They said they didn't need him.

Nobody in CG (or otherwise) misses that trash.

It does matter cause all of a sudden @FROG cares about what customers find what is 'funny' and what is 'not funny', what god gave him the right to decide that?

*EDIT* Go back a page, he openly decided that I was not good enough to pay him $5 a month to his YouTube channel cause I find WC funny, is that what CG is about now?

*EDIT* Are you KiWi Farmers going to tell me what to laugh at next? You think you are gods?

*EDIT* I am COMICSGATE and I miss the 'trash' that is WC, I watch thier show twice a week and laugh a lot

What are you talking about? Pan and Ro "broke up" with Frog, not the other way around. That must be the way it happened because that's what they tell everyone now, and they never lie. They didn't need him or his platform. Right?

'Did you ever hear the tragedy of Operation: Black Dragon? I thought not. It's not a story the Warcampaign elevated would tell you. It's a Kiwi legend. Operation Black Dragon was a gayop so retarded and shortsighted that WC could even... get noticed by Smug Frieza. Hailing Warcampaign is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be autistic and self-ruinous. #BlackDragon gained so much attention... the only thing WC was afraid of was having to deliver Mandy Summers' flat-ass lewds, which eventually, of course, they didn't. Unfortunately, they taught their apprentice Testefy-HD everything they knew, then Testefy started his own discord. It's ironic, they could #blamewarcampaign, but not hold themselves responsible for their actions.

Let's do a fair comparison, watch both of these videos from this week and explain who's more entertaining:
Neither?
I don't understand, can you explain more please?
Warcampaign, or certain members of it, had engaged in various hijinks even prior to receiving the kiss of death from @FROG

They openly bragged about doxing Rumble Terrier on a stream, shared Crypto Comics personal information, there were allegations they doxed SSJ Larry David and harassed Bean from PA after her backer information was shared after requesting a refund. Most notably they were involved in the ousting of Nerkish by contacting him via a sock account called "CG Anonymous" which threatened to release his dox. We know that Panboy, Gat and Praetorian were all involved since Praetorian leaked the DMs which are available several hundred pages back.

Personally I have no issue with doxing, but when you are trying to sell comic books to an audience, running around being involved in doxing, gayopping and harassing your own potential customers seems like a retarded thing to do. If Warcampaign never existed or dialed back their retardation from a 10 to 3, perhaps Sashi, Mike S Miller, Doug TenNapel, Nerkish and many others would still be in comicsgate along with the hordes of customers who took exception to their behavior.

On the Anna cover I'm torn. It was a terrible shit cover that deserved to be mocked and ridiculed and WC had every right to do it. From a business standpoint Ethan was clearly trying to bring in Anna and her larger Fandom Menace audience as potential customers and something had to be done.

Are Warcampaign even still around? I completely forgot they even existed until after you brought them up.
