. I think there will be a lot of carboard streaming for this Takamori week since they are on laptop and hotel WiFi.

Monetization is still out for Comet right? Anyone have an idea for the return stream? She is obviously learning the beauty of GTA and Shitposting in recent days. So I'm genuinely curious about how this will end. . .
Don't worry about her. She's someone who throw away the bugmen yuan before (even if it's not really her choice). Money is hardly a concern for our 100k-monthly-Gacha-addict comet. She said it herself that a month would mean nothing, and two months mght be bad because she can't do gacha. If anything, this demonetization is a perfect chance to show her ability as an entertainer (and shitposter). Just check the live viewers. Suisei got about 5-7k average on game like GTA and about 10k on her singing stream. Since the demonetization, she got 20k easily every stream and even got trending. It might not traslate directly to revenue, but now her brand is souring higher than ever.

And I bet the stream when the SC turn back on going to be a shower of reds rival even Coco's return stream. Our Suicopath shall bath in metaphorical blood.

Slumming on Twitter at work, and I see a surprising amount of people get a fire in their belly from this. The usual scum seem oddly quiet right now.

Also revising my opinion of the Dumpling VTuber I posted earlier. She's deleted the OG tweets, and steering in the right direction.

Here is her twitch. Looks like despite the Twitter header, she's still streaming. Might check her out later tonight.

This right here is what I like to see. If more content creators decide to stream either in respons to or in spite of Calli, then welcome to the fucking mountaintop. This was her plan all along, I feel. "How dare she tell me to create content, I'm gonna go out and create vindictive petty content just to spite her!" And that's exactly what she fucking wants.

That said, it amazes me how many people become fans of hololive yet really don't understand how it works as a company. I get that it's the kind of knowledge you don't just casually absorb unless you've been a fan for a very long time, but even so if you look at any of the hololive girls and think they didn't earn their success, that the whole idol thing gave them a bunch of fans without them having to work for everything they've got. Calli definitely has the most authority to speak on this because she herself admitted to being a jealous bitch when she originally looked at the idol community. "All these cunts just have everything handed to them on a silver platter and here I am working fucking hard just to get a few thousand people to listen to my music. Fuck these bitches." She legitimately had the exact same attitude that these TBAs do.

Suisei's story aside (which is damn inspiring, that woman is ridiculously talented and determined) people tend to forget about Queen Sora and the 13 Knights of the Round. For the unitiated, Sora's first YT stream, staff aside, had 13 unique viewers. This was the scope of Hololive at the time and Cover fully believed that they were gonna be more of a technology marketer before their idol group took off in the Chinese market and gave them even more money to expand that aspect of their operation. Hololive came up from virtually nothing into a fucking powerhouse and that was due to the work of not just the talent but of everyone else working hard behind the scenes. Managers, talent recruiters, app developers, everyone at Cover works fucking hard even if they do fuck up from time to time and these TBAs just feel all the girls do is sing and play video games and make dumb jokes, despite the fact that stuff like Beyond the Stage and Bloom required a lot of time spent taking dance classes and vocal lessons just to be able to perform. People can track some of the progress in real time as well; Luna has been actively learning piano on stream for the better part of a year and has been putting in a lot of work just to be able to play for her audience. I don't know much about Nijisanji's operations but I believe they are also full of hard workers.

Yeah, that was the other clip of her I saw and she seemed pretty fun from it.

She is a pretty talented voice actor and mood maker. There is a reason she is the runner up in the vtuber confession tournament with perfect score in the finale, only to have the rug pulled from under her feet by fubuki who linked her previous rounds confessions into a storyline which the judges universally loved.
Speaking of which, the bear from animare who participated in the tournament was a loli and had to be aged up to join too.

play Binding of Isaac and see if that creates some drama.
Ina will live up to her canadian heritage and play it but she just needs to go bald and commit career suicide. I doubt it could create drama though unless there's devout puritan christians watching vtubers or people who get offended by the gross out/shock humor and themes of the game.

The little indie that could. Hope it turns out good
Where is your attention? It won't help our ascension to serve their heads on a platter. Pre-debut, content-mute, why is it that these people matter?
Alright, I won't lie. I unironically like this, finding an actually defensible issue with Calli's diss track. Or to be specific, yeah they are...dissable? But are they worth it? We all know they don't and won't do shit. Why not shift focus to people who actually are on the grind?

Because they're being attention-seeking cunts and shitting up the vtuber "community". It's good to have someone kick them back into their corner. It is a simple law of maths that someone who doesn't create content has more time to tweet.

She'll be fine. Even if the demonetization is permanent she can always get cash from voicepacks, concerts, music, etc. We know she can get by on less for a long time. Nothing can stop the comet.

There was a tweet someone say she was collateral damage. Do indies that produced content get unnecessary hate?

I'm happy to see that the sentiment shared by my favourite Indies towards eternal TBAs has finally reached mainstream.

It's hilarious to me that this escalated because they just HAD to throw a shitfit after they were given perfectly reasonable advice with "just create content".

Dissing them is not the point, the point is that Calli made gatekeeping mainstream "if you dont produce shit you are not a vtuber" that will become a mantra and now TBA will become the new pronoun in bios, she literally kneecapped those idiots and they cant go against her because she is right and her fans will eviscerate them

Expect a lot of them debuting or dissapearing, in my book this is good, a entire purgue of the trenders and attention whores will be good for the scene

I don't give a shit about your stupid political opinions you retard. Stick your undergrad level understanding of das kapital up your pouch vagina and weep on it.
All I want is to sit back, and maybe pull my hamstring muscle again from laughing too hard at Korone saying "Eating Mike Tyson's Ass... NOOO" out loud.

I still dont understand why everyone is so enamoured with her voice... The lyrics are good tho, and a jab at the TBA speds is always welcome.
Calliope's voice is raspy in a "I've shouted a bit too much tonight" way. It's a big contrast with the default nose-pinching screeching of 99% of japanese vtubers. She sounds like a grown woman, not a cartoon. That's the appeal in my ears. Sure Coco sounds like a parrot and Subaru like... Subaru, but there's a case to be made for "contralto" female voices like Okayu or Nara Haramaung from niji ID.

I was rather neutral about Cali till today, but unexpectedly to me the latest song was great and I love the message. Were HoloEN girls lucky to be selected into a group that exploded in popularity? Yes, but they worked hard to earn the lottery ticket. If you do nothing, you won't even have a chance: for one successful artist/entertainer/businessman/sportsman/writer/whatever there are hundreds and thousands who tried and failed and some of them may even had more potential than the successful individuals, but weren't lucky enough, haven't met the right people etc. But TBDs are just people waiting for a big lottery win without even buying a ticket.

Part of me wonders if Off With Their Heads also serves as a response to Cursed Night and the mindset she had during it.

Cursed Night was at least partially a self-reflection on Calli's sudden breakout success, acknowledging at least part of it indeed because she was brought on to Cover, but wondering how much of her own success was "earned" because of that Cover breakout.

Then she opens the hook of Off With Their Heads with "Welcome to the Mountaintop, waiting til the fight calls", and the line of "This hell is hotter than when I started." realizing she's still playing the same game as before, and it doesn't matter that part of her success came as a response of finally getting "noticed", the fact is she did get noticed, and she's not being slept on anymore.

She spent all that time and energy getting to her throne, and now she has it, Cursed Night was wondering if getting to her spot was worth it, and Off With Their Heads was realizing that her own journey isn't over, because now that the throne is hers, she can find the worth in having it by defending it.
