Since I doubt he did three separate things that constituted that offense, I think he might have been charged for endangering three separate people or things. One reason a prosecutor might want to charge like that is so that at sentencing, they can go after consecutive rather than concurrent time. Like say you get three one month sentences. Often, they'll let them run concurrently, that is, at the same time, and you'll only do the one month. But if they make it consecutive, you serve three months, a month for each count.

One consideration in whether sentencing is concurrent or consecutive is multiple victims, the reasoning being the defendant deserves more punishment if they harmed more people.

And of course if you load out your charges like this, it gives you a bigger club for negotiating a plea.

If Len somehow manages to keep his mouth shut and let his lawyer do the talking, he might skate with a fine, community service and probation. Then he'll violate the terms of his probation, or not do his community service, and we'll be deprived of the Lenspiracy for a few months.

Considering Len can't shut the fuck up about anything, this thread is no secret to everyone involved from the defense to the prosecution and everyone in between. And that's all on Len and his massive case of USI.

Good points. I hadn't considered that teeing him up on every possible charge would help persuade him to yell "nolo contendere" as part of a plea deal rather than go to trial. I wonder if Len's lawyer -- if he has one -- can make his client understand all of this. Len seems very determined to force the judge to look at a lot of irrelevant photographs and listen to a lot of irrelevant babbling about trains exceeding the speed limit while zipping past farms where kiwis are grown and harvested.

I really hope Len is flying pro se on this mission.

He's delusional if he thinks anything is remotely relevant other than where the property line is, whether he was on the property, whether he was told to GTFO, and whether he did, in fact, GTFO.

If he gets up and tards out about everything under the sun, he's going to be told to sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up.

Of course, even Chris-Chan didn't actually do that, given the opportunity, but this guy just might.
