General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

My only consolation is that 41% of them will kill themselves before 30 and the remaining will not reproduce due to HRT causing infertility.
Don't forget the part the part where the remaining ones are largely communists who hate capitalism, but will remain slaves to biotech for the rest of their lives to keep up the HRT and give literally hundreds of thousands over the course of their remaining lives.

Why the fuck do these tranny freaks think superchatting this shit is okay? Are they trolling or just being extremely exceptional?

I feel like I might be buggin' out at the moment, but I swear I've seen this name on other big (likely also dumb) superchats before. Probably a stain they can't get rid of cuz they clearly have dough.

Does anyone know what illness she has?

Edit:

According to this website http://vtubermatome.blog.jp/archives/24681142.html it's something related to her throat but I didn't find anything specific.
Throat problem is no joke especially those JP girls tend to use falsetto which put a strain on their vocal cord in the long run. Their logic is that it prevent people from recognize them IRL.
One girl who just recently drop falsetto and fall back to her more natural voice is Suisei after her doctor said sth about potential damaging her vocal cord if she keep using that high pitch voice of her.
Maybe we should put a count down to see when the chicken will drop her high voice and fall back to her regular voice for streaming. I remembered the chicken drop that high pitch voice toward the end of her karaoke to 900K

EIther 1 of 2 things:
1. They want pity points from a huge content creator
2. They want to see if they can get her to slip up so that they can then have their 2 seconds of Twitter fame after calling everyone to cancel her because she said something they didn't agree with. Get shit on by the fans. Then get a ton of articles written about how the fandom is toxic and hostile. Then Hololive issuing an apology and suspending shark from streaming for a few weeks angering the fans even more.

Something tells me that #2 is more likely.

Attention and easy clout that they can whine about on Twitter in case the chuuba doesn't know better than to sidestep the troon issue. They'd love nothing more than to have an excuse to try and cancel one of the biggest vtubing names out there if she fucked up the response.
This^

This is why I couldn't understand why some EN members chose to not be independent. Some of them had huge followings pre debut that could have easily been leveraged to make them successful in the vtube sphere. Its a shame they have to tone down their content and jump through hoops to do what they could have easily done on their own.
Because chances are that the HoloEN girls would've probably ended up with 20% of the followers in 1 year than what they have right now at 6 months. The only outlier being Gura who could have probably hit 200-300k.

Lol there's no way Gura isn't a little drunk. She's wandering around the map like an idot lol
That sounds like normal Gura just not knowing where the hell to go.

Having ability to create content and pulling huge follower doesn't always mean you have ability to turn that to profit. Maybe the want support to make profit. Maybe they want support to make singing debut. Many other reason to join agency.
Their pre debut might be just a hobby, then they want to make it a serious career.

As mentioned above by a few peeps like Azchan, it's largely because you have no guarantees of transferring your followings into your new gig. For example take the average game streamer, after a while of streaming a particular type or genre of game that's all they become known for. All their publicity, fame, and growth? It's tied to that type of game, and as many of these streamers have found out, switching games (whether due to burnout or change of interest) typically leads to massive drop-offs in their viewership, sub counts, and donations.

It's the same with choosing one of the big vtuber outfits vs. going independent; you still lose your initial base, but if you're in it for money or fame one option is clearly better - the latter. By picking say Hololive, you start with a larger base viewership, better marketing opportunities, and the benefit of positive public perceptions (as in you'll have some slack given the public believes Hololive will only choose the best). You may lose more of your base compared with starting as an independent (as it's a blank slate start), but that is more than made up by the potential viewer base you can acquire using Hololive's resources.

DemonDice had 30k-ish subs when I subbed to hear in early Jun-Aug 2020 (I was looking through Dyes Iwasaki's discography and found her)

Keekihime had 10k in the same period

Sachiowo and Nagu also 10k followers on Twitch during that period

Would they have had the same growth had stayed Indie? Probably not

Are you implying they bail out of Hololive now that they have legions of followers willing to go with them whereever they go? Imagine the optics of that: Joining a Company, then leeching out all the viewers once you got your 5 minutes of fame, no one company in their right mind will ever want to work with you.

None of these girls had "huge followings" prior to Hololive, and more importantly, none of them would have been as successful if they didn't join the company. Sachiowo was an independent Vtuber for a time and she still joined Hololive

Only one is probably Senzawa and she mostly joined Hololive just to have friends

Just a little something from the fandom side of things that caught my attention.

Some TakaMori shippers can't handle being exposed to any negative takes about their ship, evidently. And they MUST let everyone know about it, because being told something as moderate as "you need to learn to take the good with the bad" has this individual, at the very least, shaking for real right now and having panic attacks.

She's right though (Verre). If the snowflake can't accept such negativity, then she hasn't been noticing the reaper's attitude/reaction towards it. It really does come off as forced and creepy perversion.

Funny you should mention that. I also saw this in the replies of VTuberCringe's addressing of the matter.

So, never mind the fact that Calli's uncomfortable with it. Kiara allegedly gets upset when she sees people talk negatively about the ship, so disrespecting her feelings is the only thing that matters, clearly.
