ASL doesn't have a written form. There's been some shitty attempts but still no written forms. It is not just English with your hands and UK has their own sign language - BSL which is nothing like ASL. I can talk to deaf people in France easier than England because ASL is based on LSF (French Sign Language).

The grammar is nothing like English, it's not shorthand. I'm told that it's similar to Chinese which I can sort of see because I can easily read the worst Chinese ESL writing when I translate it to ASL in my head.

I consider ASL my first language and I'm told that my grammar is pretty good for a deaf person but I do struggle with finding the right words to use. I sometimes lapse into ASL grammar while writing and I don't notice it until I reread what I wrote, typically much later

Kylie does have a point about how it's rude (and bla bla bla sjw power words) to point out grammatical errors and post it publicly if the meaning is clear as I'm assuming that he's talking about people doing it on his Facebook updates. If you're confused, just say that and I'll clarify it np but what do you have to gain from rewriting sentences other than to be an asshole?
