Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Problem is that once a 'technique' is discovered, the schemers and power-hungry naturally push it to its limits. Yes, the Dems would love a neo-con to oppose them and likely would have agreed to such a system during the cold war, but nowadays, I think they'd prefer even more so to be perpetually in power.

So as such, you're seeing attempts at expanding mail-in-voting, etc., as those in power seek to entrench themselves, and provide easier avenues to power for their own team.

Power is power to these people, and even decorum is a pretense and can be ignored and eventually discarded when it's no longer useful- this is the way political systems evolve over time and how you end up with vestigial titles and ceremonies in nearly every political system in the world.

If the Republicans don't act, perhaps in a hundred years, we'll have a ceremonial 'Republican' position in the eternal Democratic santinary regime, whose sole role is say "Nay!" as each decree is passed in Congress.

Since Vernon Jones is going to primary Kemp, there's been pushback from RINOs that Jones is an opportunist and Kemp's the real conservative because he signed the voting reform. It doesn't mean he won't just allow Abrams to do what she wants when Chyna Virus '22 shows up from July-November, even with the new rules in place. All conservatives want is someone to fight for them on key things, they don't want people who just talk and never do but they're on your side, honest. A good example:

He doesn't know shit. But yeah, bad move on his part for even mentioning it. You have Maxine screaming "Riot!" and now Biden weighing in? There's a word for that. It's called a "mistrial."

No way in hell the jury doesn't hear some of this shit and become tainted, even though the judge told them NOT to watch the news. The judge was damn near on the verge of it with Maxine running her racist mouth. He said that it's "abhorrent" that the politicians won't let the judicial branch do what they're supposed to do in a fair manner.
