There's NO WAY Chris would have not mentioned it, being a fan of other Williams' St. productions like Aqua Teen Hunger Force and more. He would have been bragging non-stop by now if this were a thing, NDA or no NDA. Chris is Chris.

Will need leak of the actual product or Chris to verify it somehow to believe this one.

This, Chris even if he didn't come right out saying it, he would've not-so-subtlety hinted at it like when he hired a prostitute and then said people could find his virginity taker on the backpages instead of just saying he hired a whore

But there's one problem, network executives looked into who Chris was, and they shut this shit down immediately and forced Zach into getting Chris O'Neil to redub CWC's original lines, which may never surface unless they're leaked by someone at the studio or Chris himself. This story wouldn't have even surfaced if this leaker that provided the pictures on 4chan never came out with the story.

I'd wait for more developments; /co/ is notorious for fake cartoon leaks. An out of focus "screenshot" with a time code isn't proof that Chris was involved.

People keep saying that Chris would have blabbed this out but, I think over the years Chris has learned not blab things out. I bet He does a lot of stupid stuff we have no idea about. Like for instance, we didn’t know that he got into a fender bender that resulted in his back window getting busted out until someone spotted him in the wild. Also, he was pretty tightlipped about his role in Shrek Retold until it actually came so, it’s not a stretch to believe he would be tight lipped about this.

The NG animators are too funny for current year network TV. Even watching the Smiling Friends pilot, I thought they were probably made to tone a ton of shit down since it didn't seem over the top and edgy enough to be something made by them and this more or less confirms it if true. AS is just as cucked as all other major networks now which still drives me crazy since them allowing creators to do whatever the fuck they wanted for better or for worse is what made them special.

We didn't know the story about Chris going to a prostitute until someone leaked it.

I doubt this is true.
  • Chris would have blabbed, or at least hinted.
  • There's no way the execs would let Chris anywhere near their studios
  • Chris wouldn't do the show because of the constant mockery from Oney and friends so he'll consider them trolls.
  • Smiling Friends was an April Fools joke sadly.
I do hope to be proven wrong though.

I can see Zach not mentioning it in case the execs nixed the cameo and then later Oney not mentioning it in case they actually did use Chris Chan's version. But Chris Chan on the other hand would have at least heavily hinted at some sort of acting job either directly or buried in some dimensional merge talk.

I'm going with fake until one of those three say something to the contrary.

Now that I think of it, Chris named Oney on his list of troll twitter accounts a while back didn't he? There's also nothing going on in /co/ or twitter. The images look pretty good though, probably just a picture of some other drawing that sort of looks like Chris. The coins are a far superior likeness.
