I’m not saying this was the case with Faith, but the kind of “socialization” kids get in school is often negative, and that drives certain types of kids to draw even further into themselves than they already were. I've never disagreed with the premise put forth in your first sentence, only to say that part of parents raising their children to be functioning well-adjusted contributors includes some protection from "the world." How that protection manifests is likely our area of disagreement.

To say all teenagers have phones but not all go the way of Fai is akin to saying all teenagers smoked in the 50's but not all of them died of lung cancer. Everyone doing it doesn't make it healthy.

The problem wasn't Faith's use of technology. All teenagers use social media and send nudes to each other and bully each other, it's part of the zoomer way of growing up. The problem was that she isn't fucking socialised. She should have been playing sport and getting to know other girls her age and working somewhere not owned by her parents. I have some experience with this from waaay back in the day, an with a friends younger sister.

School Environment, Home Environment, outside activities environment (like sports and shit) all play a part in socialization.

Basically for a person to grow they need to get experience dealing with things. think something boring like the water company or reregistering for classes etc.

Or having a friend group thats positive or shitty etc.

Faith being in her room all day and being used to help raise her siblings was to her detriment. The internet made it barrable even though she was miserable.

My friends little sister moved out of her dads house first chance she got because (abuse related crazy) then just sat in a filth pile in her rented room and watch every season of friends, while also miserable.

She didnt make any head way till she moved back home with her dad and delt with some of her shit and also just matured.

The only problem I see with any theories on Fai's upbringing is that the only thing we actually know is that she was in GWU Psyche ward for 7-10 days (I don't remember the exact number). They don't just keep you there for no reason. Factoring in mental illness makes theorizing about the quality of Fai's parenting kinda moot, even if we think Vickers is a retard. There are theories of isolation...but she went to public school until her sophomore year of high school...so where was there no socialization? Someone said that Fai's mom said to Godwinson that Fai had no friends...I just listed back through that "interview" and that was never said (maybe I missed it and I'm happy to accept I'm wrong if someone can point me to a time stamp.

Coming here is almost certainly a phenomenally stupid decision. I had ignored the musings of BlackShitPancakes until the claim that he/she was in my area. I can't really tell if that claim was some kind of "boomer bait" or not. I suspect a misguided but well-meaning friend is trying to "white knight" for Faith. If the location is accurate, and someone wants to message me, fine. If not, also fine. I'm not looking for a fight, debate, or other confrontation.

That said, they are certainly not me, because they seem to believe the possibility of The Gunt "signing off his rights," to Xander, which is am impossible scenario. That's not internet lawyering, but straight from the mouth of the Family Law Attorney. The Gunt cannot escape his obligation.

As for Kerr, we're looking for him (that is, Faith, myself, and our local authorities). Ultimately, Faith's age leaves me with very little power to effect the outcome of these situations. The more I try to get involved, the more I get written off as the "angry father seeking revenge" (I mean, it's a pretty accurate representation). All I know is that this stuff takes time. A lot of time. A lot of frustrating time.
