Now looking at it, I think I made a mistake by translating one of the lines as Kanata having "bad credit". It's basically like you said, one of the chat members was saying she probably lacked "social credit", as in, she neither has a government job, nor works for a major company, and doesn't have high-value possessions, like property. They probably think streaming is a risky occupation.
Edit: In short, I didn't know how to translate that in a way that couldn't be confused with the social credit system in China.
I don’t know how credit card system work in Japan but I think they should be the same in US no?

I mean she can just apply for credit card with the bank that currently hold her money from Hololive. The bank would give her decent credit so she can build her credit from it. Her income should be sizable for a reasonable credit line.

Now that I give it a bit of thought... Kanata's financials might not be good.

No house of her own. No cars. As far as we know, no massive savings. Is roomating, meaning she doesn't even present the leasing certificates (Coco most likely does). No job, and only showing contractor status. She may even be helping her family, decreasing the savings even more. She doesn't seem like a good candidate for a CC. If a person goes nuts and breaks the card with insane spending, the bank always should have a phyisical asset to seize to compensate for the loss.

Not a great look to be given her a card. And also, if her financials are so strained, it is probably for the best not to have a CC. Those things tend to bring bad luck.

Her financial is fine. The girl decide to drop 1 Million yen on a project just because she overslept. But it would look pretty bad on documents and from bank perspective I agree.

Hold up, River City Girls is local co-op only. Did they confirm that they're allowed to use third party apps like Parsec to make this happen? I can only see this game being swapped out last minute at the moment (unless they both have/play this game on PS4s and opt to use share play).
If they don't have Parsec (or permissions for Parsec), Steam has local co-op online play built in.

Ah right, I never had to use the built in feature so I forgot it existed. Now to see if they're tech savvy enough to make it work without delaying the stream with the typical EN curse at play.

Credit cards were not really mainstream products until the last ten years in Japan. It's a lot harder to get one than it is in USA. I'm not surprised someone with almost no credit history like Kanata would be rejected. Japanese credit cards expect you to be able to pay the full amount at the end of the billing cycle and have shit tier limits like $2000 a month. On one hand, card surfing is virtually unheard of because of the high interest rates but on the other hand, credit cards are not very useful to the average person as a way to defer payment.

Stay monetized on YouTube?

worst case she can probably get a debit card, for most stuff they work just as well without the pitfalls of credit cards, and are also easier to get usually.

Noel has done cow jokes for as long as she's been on the internet. She even owns cow print underwear. It's nothing new.
there's also a bit of difference if it comes from underage dipshits that privately jerk off to it or your fans who throw money at you while saying it.

does it come with best girl?

if unsure best mention it in the description, gets ahead of any comments that might complain about certain choices. some subbers have quite extensive translation notes.

How poor or indebted you have to get rejected from credit cards? Like, a huge part of bussiness in a bank is creating CC debt by allowing minimum payments. Well, I don't know how japan is like, but it's weird that with a stable income, you'd get rejected from one. Unless she really does have very bad credit and has no savings. I dunno man
Japan to my knowledge has a very different credit system from other countries. It's rather difficult to get a loan or credit there, the main reason being that there is no credit score system each bank has their own credit scoring system and they can based it off a number of different things such as length of employment, type of employment, education, etc. So they don't just look at your debt to income ratio, length of credit history, or utilization rates. For example Hideo Kojima had a really hard time getting a loan to open his new studio because nobody in the banking sector seemed to know who he was. So it could be they just didn't like lending to people with her type of employment.
