How is nothing gay enough for her? I know from lurking that she's contrarian and stupid, but hating Avatar, hating SU- are there cartoons she likes? Are their games lily likes outside of kingdom hearts and wow, because it's just sad to see someone try to keep going with so little.

I know shit fuck about mass effect, but I've heard good things about the lgbtqia rep.

Does Lily think Mass Effect started the whole non-binary female-presenting alien race thing? Lmao my god.

Edit:
I asked a friend who knows more about ME and he told me they got in trouble with Fox News over the Asari. I can't believe SU ripped that off too by getting cancelled!
You know what? That's because of the sex scene with Liara in ME1.
Oh, good old times indeed. And probably SU got the same "polemic" with that gay wedding between Ruby & Sapphire.

If he actually thinks that Steven Universe cribbed its ideas from fucking Mass Effect then Jerry is so completely inept at discussing children's cartoons that it's actually stunning. The biggest inspiration for Steven Universe in regards to both its structure and its portrayal of sexuality (and this is well-documented) is the 90s anime Revolutionary Girl Utena. Here's a video showing all of the references to Utena that are in Steven Universe. I'm also pretty sure Rebecca Sugar has gone on record to say that she was inspired by Utena, but that could be my memory fucking with me.

Revolutionary Girl Utena is a magical girl anime that is highly episodic in its structure, with every episode focusing on a different character's sexuality or psychology. This gives the show a slow but exploratory tone, similar to Steven Universe. Revolutionary Girl Utena is also extremely gay, as nearly every female character in the show either bisexual or a lesbian. Much of the show focuses on themes of objectification and romantic fixation, with the main heroine (Anthy) being an in-text metaphor for the exotification and objectification of women. Tbh, even Steven Universe doesn't go that far. Just like Steven Universe. Revolutionary Girl Utena is also a show that doesn't focus much on combat for dramatic stakes, as the protagonist wins nearly every duel in the series. Just like Steven Universe.

Of course, Jerry doesn't know any of this. Jerry is similar to Chris-Chan in this regard; he's actually so deep in arrested development that even anime made for teenagers are too intense and complex for him.

there is a post in lily's tumblr that she actually lists all the ridiculous criteria for something to count as representation and its sooooo dumb. the thing about representation is that its representation, it doesnt matter if its "unhealthy" or "the bare minimum". that discussion is a separate one entirely

i think the last gow ive seen was the one she grades representation, bcz giving su an F was just too retarded for me. rebecca sugar actually risked her career and her show by making that marriage scene and lily says it doesnt count because they didnt say "wife" lol

i was going to post the post here but while i was checking her tumblr i was assaulted by the number of bad, BAD takes. here it goes:

Usually posts like this are excerpts from scripts for upcoming videos that she's working on. It looks like she's goin on a tangent about the character Diana from Little Witch Academia, a series she's talked about before and seems to like but she has a bug up her ass about this character. I don't know, I haven't watched the series yet. This is definitely related to that post from the other day where she listed characters, putting Amity and Diana in the "Boring" category and Sylvanas in the "Grooming/Gaslighting Victim."
And, you know, just more proof that she can never, ever let anything fucking go. We get it, you hate Kylo Ren, you hate Reylos, and you hate people that have different tastes than you. Move the fuck on.

She's joking about being bi because she's totally completely secure in her lesbianhood and absolutely not attracted to men.
The exact same "joke" that hetero dudes who are probably insecure in their sexuality make.
Ironically about the exact same group of people too... huh.

Anyway it's just insipid and low-hanging fruit. Nowadays most people don't really care about sexuality, but labels matter to some people and Lily's fetish for lesbians commands that she firmly fit inside that label. Despite the fact that she clearly doesn't. I probably wouldn't say bi, but getting sexual pleasure/gratification by being used by anyone, mostly people with dicks that they shove into you with abandon and no care for your own pleasure, definitely doesn't fall into lesbian territory.

Also, I'm not gonna concern troll about "Wow Lily, perpetuating the idea that you can't find someone appealing to look at without finding them sexually attractive, how progressive!" but yeah. Finding another person aesthetically appealing doesn't automatically mean you're sexually attracted to them, just that you like how they look.
I get that this is supposed to be a dumb off-handed joke but to me it just comes off as her being insecure in her identity and feeling the need to reinforce it to her viewers and herself.

I hate how every time I try to write a quick response to something I end up writing a mini essay because there's so much shit that can be gleaned off of nearly everything Lily does and says.

You might be right. I'd forgotten about that scene until I watched a playthrough of ME1 remastered and damn it's more explicit than I remembered.
And the most ironic part of that? Near either Ashley/Kaidan or Liara gives a shit about you in a romantic manner if you're Renegade.
FOX is always laundering images, just like with GTA SA Hot Coffe (which is just buttsecks) & Jack Thompson.
Something, something is related to Lily

oh shit i thought she was talking about wonder woman because of that zack snyder ask lol

i guess it must be insecurity, but that doesnt work as a joke? usually the joke is "[does something stereotypical for group x] yeah im x, how could you tell?"

is the joke here that she finds the dudes attractive? and people were going to be like "wait are you bi? i thought you were a lesbian?"? because that just shows how stupid it is that she keeps whining about straight women finding kylo ren attractive. why do you care? you dont even go here!

I asked a friend who knows more about ME and he told me they got in trouble with Fox News over the Asari. I can't believe SU ripped that off too by getting cancelled!
I'm pretty sure ME1 was banned in 2007 by the MDA because of the lesbian scene between female Shepard and Liara. It was even banned in Singapore for a while because of it. The Asari aren't nonbinary either, they're a monogender alien race that can only survive by breeding with other races to continue making more Asari. The only gendered roles are when two Asari have children together and one of them acts as the 'father;'. It's even hinted at that different races view their faces differently to look similar to their own races females. Liara wasn't the only gay romance either, Kaiden could also be romanced by a male Shepard and it's somewhat hinted at in the first game and in the second if male Shepard hadn't romanced anyone in ME1 there's a dialogue that appears between him and Kaiden. in the third they become an official gay couple.

However, Steven Universe ripping off Mass Effect in that aspect is hilarious because there was a nonbinary masculine appearing gem in Steven Universe Future who appeared for a moment. Not even excluding how the rubies all seem to be masculine coded and there was Bluebird Azurite which looked like a nonbinary masculine gem.

I can't wait for Lily to begin unironically quoting the Bechdel Test.

If you're referring to Snowflake Obsidian, I think they're still female just voiced by Ian JQ. It's like how Emerald was voiced by Jinx Monsoon and is still considered female. It's weird I know, but such is media in general.

He fucking thinks Mass Effect was the first time in media there's been an all-female alien race!? I knew Jerry was uncultured but goddamn. That's a sci-fi trope that goes back to the 1950's.
Shit, it wasn't even a new thing in video games by that time either. The 1990 game Star Control had an entire race of blue alien nymphomaniac women called the Syreen based off the "Green alien babe" trope.

You never once see one of their males and it's partly insinuated that they might breed with the males from other races.

Lily has to be fucking insane to think this is true.

Before The Last Jedi, people weren’t as hostile to the direction that the sequels were going. Most of the criticism of The Force Awakens came from the fact that it was extremely similar to A New Hope in which the only original character was Finn (Hux fulfilled the role of Tarkin, Kylo was Vader, Snoke was Palpatine, Poe was Han and Rey was Luke). Hell, Han even gets killed by Kylo just like how Obi-Wan was killed by Vader.

Meanwhile, The Last Jedi was attacked for it’s horrific characterisation, forced romance and pointless plot twist that wasted the potential of Snoke.

By the time Rise of Skywalker was released, people lost all interest in the trilogy.

You must have done nothing but go looking for it then, Jerry, because I distinctly recall pretty much everyone deepthroating Disney like a bunch of true Consoomers over their rehash of ANH.
Seriously, TLJ was so bad that some people built entire YouTube careers shitting on it while getting huge numbers of views. Worst I heard people say about TFA as that it was just ANH with different characters, them not giving the old cast one last moment where they're all together being a wasted opportunity, Kylo being an overly obvious attempt to recreate Darth Vader without understanding what made him work so well (Hint: the mask loses it's menace the moment you take it off and see Adam Driver), Maz Kanata being just knockoff Yellow Yoda with a vagina, and Rey developing Force powers too fast.

Hell, I remember people were actually excited about Finn before the movie came out. A badass looking black dude who's obviously a Stormtrooper but some of the materials show him with Luke's lightsaber. And then Rian Johnson happened to the poor bastard. And ho the fuck were being antisemitic over a fucking Star Wars film?

I'm calling complete bullshit. The only fucking one of these that has any shred of merit at all is the misogyny, and it was really less misogyny and more "Oh god, I hope this female character is actually well written and not forced diversity bullshit."
