I know Atun-Shei was a Gettysburg guide who larps as an expert on the Civil War (Southern Monuments specifically) and Cynical Historian is a massive leftist who thinks Trump is literally Hitler.

Apparently he let furries run his Discord, he is a furry as well or they sucked him off for admin privileges, they tried to purge the original fanbase maybe on his behalf, and there is some shit about lolicon.

All in all usual Brazilian stuff.

Thanks. I'll have to dig through spergier channels like Lindybeige and Shadiversity for something especially weird but they are fairly tame compared to more pop history channels that usually circlejerk Venice or the Mongolian Empire or some shit.

Lindy and Shad are alright and the least of the spergy parts of that community. Dovahatty's "incident" should be etched into public memory, RCH is a TradCath Autist, John Greene is a cunt, OSP is insufferable, Potential History is a total faggot, and Alternate History Hub is the absolute worst of them all.

The reason I mentioned Lindy and Shad is just because they’re innocuous spergs, I appreciate them in their own right, but they definitely say a lot of things that’s worth making fun of. They’re at least not ideaologically driven, although Lindy does occasionally don the fedora.

The faults of most history youtubers is their approach to revisionism/political bias.

Alternate History Hub is a bizarre mix of ignorance, shitposting, and laziness. Really, virtually anyone in the alt-history sphere has something wrong with them.

I think his most retarded take was complaining that all the footage of the German armed forces during WW2 stems from wartime propaganda, and has therefore colored our view of the German military during the war. Like dude, all the footage of every army during the war comes from propaganda. In fact the Germans were better than a lot of the other warring sides to actually get footage from the front. The Soviets would actually film a lot of their footage after the war, as there was a wartime shortage of film crew equipment and not really a domestic market for war time propaganda films.

I'm sure it was annoying 10 years ago when Wehraboos would constantly proclaim the German army to be the best in every category and shit up every internet discussion about the war.
