It seems to imply you need something to maintain to qualify for this. Also you have to know this rule exists and submit paperwork in a timely manner. I'm sure a lot of people so nuts they're in a loony bin can manage to figure this out when I barely can and am not even sure if I'm right.

But I think being homeless doesn't qualify as a "home or living arrangement," since he's not going to lose it while he's in the laughing academy. He'll still be homeless when he leaves.

So I think he'd qualify for the $30 a month.

If he does qualify, it's not by having a "home," since he doesn't. It's if whatever he's doing qualifies as a "living arrangement."

this seems consistent with his last longer stay. He had some money coming in which he would blow on Walmart watches he couldn’t manage to read. Then when he got out he had to work pretty hard to get his benefits turned back on.

I think they wait a bit to turn them off, if that hasn’t been mentioned, as those on mental health SSI have a pretty obvious reputation for cycling in and out of crazy camp.

some of the most exploitative residential programs I have dealt with have become pretty skilled in finding ways to use up benefits and discharge right before the benefits drop. They basically take EBT benefits to pay for program food and use a huge chunk of the benefit check and then when the SSI payments are set to be suspended, they discharge and enroll patient in a day program or step-down program that takes another huge chunk.

not saying that this is what all programs do, but it’s fairly common and it means that most on Medicaid/SSI don’t have long stays as it becomes unprofitable. I’m still unsure what led Lucas to spend so long in the hospital in 2017.

"Section 1611(e)(1)(G) of the Social Security Act provides that Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients, who are temporarily institutionalized for medical care (and who would otherwise receive a reduced benefit or none at all), can get benefits during the first 3 full months of institutionalization to pay expenses to maintain their home or living arrangement where they may return upon discharge. We refer to benefits paid under section 1611(e)(1)(G) as temporary institutionalization (TI) benefits."

I'm not sure if being a screaming bum wandering around at random counts as a "living arrangement." But if it does he'd be entitled to it for 90 days.

They'll be legally obligated to have klinkerdaggers delivered daily so that he can maintain his living arrangement. Seriously though im not sure if he does actually have a hard 2k savings limit but if not and he can save more i could see him getting out later and seeing that he has 6k and then we would get like a week of high roller Wern if he just goes off his meds again which i feel like he probably will

Holy shit what a great word salad of schizoid nonsense and disgusting crudity. Of course the thought has never entered Lucas' broken brain that girls might be utterly repulsed by such talk. It turns Lucas on, so obviously it will turn other people on. It's just amazing that he can't even get this sort of panting, guy-in-a-trenchcoat dirty talk right without it sounding silly. "Clits all over my dick" just conjures an image of multiple women trying to jam their crotches close enough to touch his dick with just their clits at the same time. "Suck my fuckin 41 year old crotch off" is also the absolute grossest way you can put that, and is also vaguely funny sounding. Yes, there is a limit of $2,000 in resources.
If Lucas has more than that at the start of any month, he won't get his tugboat for that month.

There is a special savings account for ssi that Lucas can deposit up to $100,000 in before it sinks his tugboat, but I can't see that happening.

Weird. So observing and commenting on the behaviour of someone who broadcasts their intent to harm children is a bad thing. Like they’d rather Lucas was ignored and left to his own devices. I think keeping an eye on people like him serves a purpose. People should know about him if they have kids that he is a danger and should be avoided.

Lucas thinks so highly of himself that he doesn’t think the ridiculous shit he says and does will draws this kind of attention. This is the internet. And Lucas Werner is a specimen of abnormal freak worthy of study.

The results are in! It would seem that, in a fit of toddler rage, Lucas had a tantrum at the Plaza and threatened to "kill himself with scissors", which sounds like something a pouty third-grader would say. I'm lol'ing at the way they describe his rants in the incident report. Since he wasn't directly harassing anyone, I suspect they won't keep him in Funkytown for very long, unless he's deemed "gravely disabled". Mature adult and father material here, everybody!

Shout out to the STA public records office for making public the documents concerning this sexpest, though the system won't really be keeping people safe until he's properly on The Registry.
