Weibo troll gets served legal notice (

On the ever-evolving, constant topic of internet harassment;
So Kris Wu is making news in some places recently for getting booked for being a maybe a rapist and most probably someone guilty of sexual assault/harassment, including against a minor. It's news in China.
Nanami is a pretty big VLiver under VirtuaReal (Aka Nijisanji CN, more or less), and is a pretty chill person, who unfortunately reacts and snaps/talks back at trolls and inciteful comments now and then. She once said that "VTubers aren't your e-pets", to give you an idea of what she responds with. This quote unfortunately did not make things better.
This characteristic of hers happened to rile up a lot of trolls across the boards, most of which trawl the common forums, many of which are A-Soul Groupies (AUs). A-Soul is the VTuber branch of Yuehua entertainment, and is a fully 3D VTuber girl group. Think Kpop girl group, which should give you an idea of how rabid and fanatical and honestly disturbing their fanbase can and has become. That, and add in a shoehorned sense of nationalistic pride for Chinese people watching Chinese VTubers and chuck in a load of Weibo trolls and you have a truly awful combination for anyone outside of the madness.
So Nanami is big, pretty popular, has tons of trolls hounding her regularly, it's not exactly a chill environment for her. Recently, some people went to Weibo in the wake of the Kris Wu arrest for the aforementioned sex crimes and slandered Nanami, spreading rumors about her regarding the Kris Wu situation.
VirtuaReal thankfully lawyered up, which doesn't solve everything, but might at least scare some shitheads away.
Again, this doesn't solve everything. It doesn't change the fact that someone sent Nanami a SC on a stream, she missed responding to it quickly, and so that person got irritated and harassed her with more SCs asking her why she didn't answer. AUs and trolls will still harass her and some other VR livers.
It doesn't change the fact that VirtuaRral management is flawed, that many of their talents have gone through more controversial times, and that the overall environment in the bilibili VTuber niche is deteriorating gradually. (Though it's still nice sometimes, just becoming more Youtubey)
But hey, talk bullshit, get hit with legal papers.
