As for Flare and Noel, I used to think it was just the Kayfabe at first myself, but eventually it just escalated to the point that I feel it can't be anything other than real. Also, as Ive mentioned, their clearly intimate closeness has been a topic among their holomems. It appears several of the girls used to think the same thing, that it was just an act, but when the go out irl they're often surprised by how touchy feely close the two are. That "wow, they have that kind of relationship where they can be intimate like that".

My guess is that Nene’s application get kick back due to them looking for some ESL to replicate success of Coco/Kson (if rrat about Kiara suppose to debut as ESL member for GenFive was right). Plus if I remembered correctly Nene does not have much pull early on as a streamer, she’s slowly adapt and grow on her audiences and viewers as time goes on (the Nene right now would pass with 1 audition vs the original Nene that need several times).
Plus Subaru said that she would never get in if she apply to any audition Hololive opens right now due to the sheer amount of pressure and competition. The bigger Hololive get, the more pressure the OG members who still has some grow struggle like Aki, Choco, Robo will feel unless they can just ignore them altogether. Extreme niches members with inside joke like Ayame (only stream when she’s out of money), Shion and Aqua are having some unintentional problem by Hololive getting big since new fags (who think those girl luck out) will most likely running smear campaign on social media.
they're probably considering rest of the gen as well, coming from their idol approach. you don't want to have the same or overlapping personalities in your
group gen, avoids conflict and drama etc.. if you look at the existing gens they all bring something of their own to the table and complement each other.
or to put it this way, imagine /vt/'s state if holo-en gen2 has another kiara, maybe even two of them... (no diss, we all love you chicken)
