I'm guessing GTA is shitting itself or Haachama's laptop shitting itself since they are moving their collab to Minecraft.

A TL in YT chat said she was having a problem where discord msg's were showing up on the stream and she couldn't turn that off, so they went to Miko's stream and now they're hanging out on Watame's stream.

Edit: Can't confirm this, as I don't have TL log. Could also be that and/or hackers as Joey above me said.

It seems that Suisei lost her data on her computer
Zenloss...
Edit: Oh god she's lost all the videos she's been working on.
Edit2: Also it seems she lost her old models and outfits, she only has her current one. I think this may mean that her old Space Suisei model (OG model) is gone...
She did explicitly mention that her songs are (mostly?) fine since the management also has the data, so there is that silver lining. With that said, in her own estimate, she did lose about 90% of her data (about 10% was able to be retrieved), so it's still pretty bad.
Ah, this must be what this tweet was about from a couple hours ago
So sounds like she was cleaning up her computer and accidentally deleted files that she shouldn't have deleted...
Prebuilt shipped without inner padding, graphics cards sagged, bent. Friend C fixed it.
Where do pre-built shops hire the "technicians" anyway? TheVerge alumni? GamerNexus has also covered this kind of problem in their reviews.
Suisei deleted files she thought already backed up to external HDD before giving to Anemachi-san. Surprise surprise. Big files are permanently deleted not recycled.
IT tech recovered files but they are all corrupted. (BitLocker?) Including old Live2D models, some backgrounds, etc

I guess Suisei learned the hard way about keeping backups of backups, losing all of her OG models and work must be painful.
Let this be a lesson to everyone. If you have important files (tax records, photos, etc) at the very least, buy a large USB drive, make copies of it, and just throw it in a drawer and leave there, and only update it every 6-12 months.
Wait, since when did Haachama have this costume?
I believe it's an alternative from her OG Haato model days.

That archived karaoke stream with Calli and Milky was great. Calli seemed very happy and energetic. Actually, I thought Milky was a bit better at singing these jpop-idol type songs than Calli.

Their unarchived stream is starting in under 20 minutes. Looking forward to Calli flexing her rap skills in this one.

EDIT: LOL They're about to sing Evanescence! I hope someone's saving this.

EDIT 2: Not nearly as much rap as I expected. Bunch of meme and nostalgia songs, but still funny. Milky's Pumba impression during Hakuna Matata was hilarious.

kson will have her first ever karaoke stream.
This is new for kson, she always avoided doing something like this so it's interesting.
Since she's at 799k already, this may also be just a big joke where she starts the stream and doesn't sing.
didn't someone mention she has a voice coach now or did I mix it up with someone?

either way could be she got to the point where she likes to sing, lot of people are too embarrassed about it or think their singing is not exactly good so never try and learn to enjoy it.

it's a lesson everyone learns eventually.
fwiw how much value did the old data really have? sucks but it's fullfilled it's purpose and mostly has nostalgic value, losing current work can be a bitch tho.

>Prebuilt

thats what happen when you buy cancer
either the drive eats the data or it doesn't, prebuilt is not a factor in that case.
apparently she accidentally the files herself anyway, so there's that too.

Kson is now hiring pro singing and dancing teacher. Said she plan something big and will drip feed us hype like Team Cherry hyping Silksong.

She delete all the file herself, thinking she already back it up. This is on the old PC so the new Prebuilt one have nothing to do with it. From Suisei's own word, it's mostly just legacy/old work stuff she doesn't need anymore. Thumbnails of her all her videos. OG Suisei model and all its outfits. MV she has edited - probably the indies day. All Anemachi png and soundboard. Other old stuff she plan to clean be never do. It still sucks, but won't interrupt her work much. She said she lose all the overlay she used for streaming game like Tetris or Karaoke stream, so that need to be remake. If she really care enough, she can probably recover all that anyway instead of giving up after local computer mechanic can't fix it.

You have no idea how much this gets me being a technician myself, I've had people do this countless times, this could have been easily avoided if she just did ones of these options:

1. The golden 3-2-1 Backup rule (3 Copies, 2 different forms, 1 offsite). Cant go wrong and has even saved my arse before.
2. Straight copy from the HDD itself and then check it is actually all there on the new PC, before ya know wiping the entire PC

Also I don't believe myself about the IT tech recovering the files but being corrupted. I can guess all that guy has done, is a basic pass with some recovery software and that's it. Take that drive to an actual data recovery specialist and you be amazed the shit they could pull off of it. It will be really expensive but I don't think she would be that strapped for cash now as average price is about $500-$600 to get it done now.

Long story short: Back up your stuff properly kids

As an IT technician of 13 years, I was about to write this same exact thing. I was thinking "mention the 3-2-1 method", then lo and behold I see it already posted. I also tell people that flash drives aren't really meant for long-term storage of sensitive data. Too damned volatile.

I can't tell you how many people I've seen lose everything because of an unforeseen exploded PSU, house fire, lightning strike, cryptovirus, etc.. I've seen businesses go bankrupt because they left the database backup plugged into their server, losing 15 years of data as Cryptowall ruined everything attached to the network. If Suisei really was up against a wall, I'd tell her to contact Kroll Ontrack or something: I have seen them recover shit from stone dead mechanical drives that were PGP encrypted before. And that would presumably be a business tax write-off (assuming Japan has similar tax laws, I have no clue). Her data is still there: 'deleted' doesn't mean 'gone forever'. It just means the file pointers have been removed. As long as she doesn't continue to write to the drive, it is recoverable. There are ways.

But man, I feel her pain. Seen way too much of it. Worst part of the job is telling someone their precious data is gone forever, and there is nothing you can do about it.

As we say: if you didn't back it up, you didn't love it enough.

miko using her 3d model is a blessing, sasuga elite
can't imagine what's gonna happen if nene ever starts using hers for streaming...
I’m more curious on what shenanigans Amelia would come up once she’s green light to use her 3D model to stream like Sora & Miko. She’s already have home3D rig set up and had been using smol Ame to cause chaos.

I was wondering about this. She didn't really give a reason why she changed it. Did she tweet about the police simulator stream? If so, she deleted it; I wonder if people were sperging about it in the replies.
She mentioned in the Minecraft stream that she played it a bit before the stream started and didn't like it. At the time Ina was streaming her Minecraft and she just decided to do Minecraft also. I love these Minecraft streams when Ame is around. They both have great chemistry.

Also, random mention that shark mom only wears socks inside out which was odd to me.

The issue Tenma and Pippa brought up is a difficult one. When a person with mental illness does bad things, how much should you attribute that to them, and how much should you attribute that to their condition?

In Chris-chan's case, yeah he needed help and didn't get it, but at the same time the vast majority of people with autism don't do the kind of shit he did.

Also, if someone is free to act independently, then they have to be held accountable for their actions out of sheer necessity, no matter what conditions they have.
I feel Chris had people around them putting the ideas into his head just to see if he would go with them.

I heard often about how pity and ghost subs actually hurt the channel, but how does it work? What's the mechanic that make it a bad thing for the channel growth? Does Youtube stop promoting your channel when it passed a certain threshold or something?
It hurts because if you can't keep the momentum the algorithm detects your channel as if its dying and you stop getting promoted or recommended.

Congratulation for one year anniversary, gaming lion, Empress of the Rus!

I don't really hate Ayame, but Ayame lazy and normie is too good a meme to passed up
Never like Ayame.

It turns out Calli's surprise karaoke guest is Milky Queen. IIRC DemonDice did a song or something with Milky Queen before..

EDIT: Yep.

EDIT 2: Calli says she looks up to Milky Queen, who was her introduction to vtubers. This could answer my question before about Calli's design. Maybe she chose a large-breasted model in imitation/tribute to Milky.
Callie mentioned that the only reason she's in Hololive is because Milky applied and she pushed for her to apply too even if she didn't really want to. Milky already being and working as an idol Callie thought she had it in the bag. Turns out Milky got rejected and Callie got in.

That archived karaoke stream with Calli and Milky was great. Calli seemed very happy and energetic. Actually, I thought Milky was a bit better at singing these jpop-idol type songs than Calli.

I missed the first part. Will watch it later,
