Really, you can divide Calli's career into a Pre and Post quitting JET teaching. Most of the really shitty stuff you describe was when she was still teaching and on a really rigid schedule. Since then.....well, she's still a workaholic. But she's taking much better care of herself.


Considering she just had a (Presumably) preventative double mastectomy, I seriously hope she takes care of herself. Beyond the obvious physical complications that come after, I understand the mental hit can be pretty intense for women as well. Here's hoping she can pull out of this okay.

Pomu, the fish and Selen are the only 3 in Niji I sub since I vibe with them. How old is Pomu’s roommate again? Having such major surgery at such young age can be really devastating mental health especially for young women.

I hadn't actually looked at the sub counts for the new gen until this post. I'm not shocked that most of them are over 200k already, nor that Sana is lagging behind, but I am actually a little shocked to see Sana that far behind (162k, next lowest is 218k).
Of course I'm not ascribing it to racism (again, she's gyaru not black).
Hopefully she's more resilient than Kiara so she doesn't numberfag and impostor-syndrome her way into mediocrity. As long as she keeps her head up, she might be my "underdog to root for" this gen.
Sub numbers at this point in the game say more about the character design than the streamer's entertainment value anyway. Sana, don't be a wallflower in collabs, contribute a lot, and the viewers will see your value.


I'd think it's generally a safe bet that they have a boyfriend/husband unless there's an actual reason to believe otherwise (e.g. crippling social issues).
Remember, everything you like about your VTuber: she's funny, she's a sweetheart, she's hardworking, whatever -- someone in her real life will have recognized these qualities too.

Edit: I spoke about creative stream ideas the other day, so it'd be a shame not to mention that Rosemi is doing GeoGuessr shortly. Ok, maybe it's not that creative, but anything that's not too overdone piques my interest.

Sana's subcount has gotten nuked like 10 times at this point. She was as high as 180k at one point, after her debut stream. It got nuked to 125k not even an hour later and hasn't gone past 170k since due to being nuked at least 4 more times after the fact. Iunno wtf youtube has against Sana.

She could be any age if the surgery is preventative (i.e. her family has a history of it so they're removing chances of her getting it). You can get implants at any time if she hasn't already, but her bigger concern will likely be on physical health complications than mental ones.

The worst of her situation is already over but it IS major surgery and you don't just get over it right away. The fact she's back in work and active as Pomu is pretty inspiring.

Apparently she usually sleeps at this time, and she had to adjust her habits to stream.
She'll take days to choose a fan name - that's weird.

Yea, the way she talked about it in the info stream made me immediately think the breast cancer gene that's highly hereditary (surgery is preventative, it runs in her family [but only mentions female members of her family]). The post surgery photo which looks like a traced over IRL photo sealed the deal in my mind. That REALLY looks like someone who just had a surgery on their stomach/chest, and is covered up post-op.
