McConnell is not at all a moderate either. He is a different brand of conservative from Trump. His main objectives with denying MAGA candidates was to ensure his own influence within the Senate, but he did not want the Senate to be full of McCains either.

Senior command is generally insulated from the death and the destruction that the lower ranks face unfortunately. They need to be brought back down to earth, made to be less detached from reality and become more accountable for their actions. The only real way to accomplish this realistically will probably be from the top down just due to how the military is structured and its general organizational obsession with hierarchy.

Not an American, but I am starting to realize more and more why their 2nd amendment exists, and why it is so important. The right to bear arms gives the people a way to get rid of parasites so deeply embedded in their nation that nothing short of violence will remove.

If we are truly in a state of anarcho-tyranny, then Daniel Penny and Luigi Mangione are two sides of the same coin in reaction to it, just from opposite ends. Certainly Neely is less sympathetic up front than Thompson is and so is Mangione in relation to Penny, but in the end it is two malefactors taking advantage of dysfunction in our society, and garnering a response from random citizens in return.
That it's come this point is not a good thing, I should clarify.

Not to mention if you remove the ability for anyone to defend themselves, the only people who end up being able to defend themselves are those who are either criminals themselves or the ones making the laws (not mutually exclusive)
