If your ISP supports a dynamic IP it could just mean that you got allocated one that was already IP banned. Very likely that this is the case if your claims are true that you've never posted on the board you got banned from, it happened to me before too.

Yeah you're gonna have to wait that out chief. If you have a dynamic IP address and frequent services that often distribute IP bans then it's like treading on landmines.
The current IP address format we all know is on IPv4. IPv6 supports far more address variations than IPv4 and offers better [insert technical jargon here] advantages compared to IPv4.
I had that once, was banned for posting noods on some board. Wasn't me because the ban message made clear it was a female.
