Huh I was wondering what was going on last night. I was playing on their mc server (soycraft) then all of the sudden it got incredibly slow. I then went over to soybooru to find a random meme to send off to some wierdo on fedi and found the site 404ed. I wonder if in retaliation 4chud mods decided to start ddosing soyjak partys servers

>the website's first mainstream controversy was "gamergate"
holy zoomer batman
I always assumed that the iCloud hack that led to hundreds of celeb nudes being leaked took that mantle but I’ve forgotten the dates. That and could be confusing “mainstream controversy” part for a “event that actually drew some serious interest from the Alphabet Agencies” one.

I'm surprised Cadfael doesn't seem to be in these leaks. Maybe he got scared off the job.
There was another leak years ago, where /j/ screenshots got out and it was revealed that Cadfael, a trip on /sp/ who used to post goal gifs, became a janny. It certainly explained why he had suddenly disappeared, he used to be very active during premier league hours.

I'm the most surprised by one having a Harvey Mudd email, it's one of the most competitive and intense universities in the US.
How do you find the time to shovel shit for free?
There seem to be 3 such emails in total, other then Harvey Mudd the other college emails are for the University of Washington and the University of Michigan.

This is a seriously comprehensive hack. I’m not a technigger so I don’t really know the full scope but this cannot be an easy fix. They’d have to tear the site down and start from scratch or else this would just happen again immediately after.

It's fair to presume that was the case but I genuinely think it was because the servers hosting the imageboard and adjacent sites got too overloaded with the extreme overflow of traffic. There was a brief period of time where /soy/ was reaching 2k+ PPH. Shortly after the site started shitting the bed

I mean it's overlooking some major events in history like Project Chanology for one.

I'm both surprised and not at the same time that they had no backups, no plan for when shit hit the fan, especially considering the site is still dead the only thing I imagine they can do is nuke and start again.

I’m honestly surprised that Inspector Redwood, a known tripfag on /co/, didn’t pop up anywhere in the leak.

But then again the modlist I’ve seen doesn’t mention which boards the mods and jannies actually monitored.
