The more parsimonious answer is that altchans simply attract a certain sort of amoral degenerate who find themselves constricted by the (very lax) standards in normal hand.

Admittedly sometimes I would use /a/ to learn about some new series or learn about new more obscure shows during the season. The threads on the board however are always so mass produced and robotic. Same fucking questions, same topics, same style of posting as if the whole thing is run by a few people. Mostly storytimes and not to mention the weird NTRfaggotry that has been further stinking up the board. You can tell its the same guy spamming NTR threads every fucking day too.

If anything my issue was just an inherent lack of care and people just abusing their anonymous power. I had mostly moved talking about 40k online from /tg/ to the kiwi thread, Warhammer 40k on /tg/ went from the best topic to talk about with all the threads, painting guides, and memes only the board turned into a fucking general hell. On modern /tg/ Warhammer HAD 10+ generals up at the same time not to mention there was this faggot who came up in the last couple years who would post in any non general warhammer thread with "idunno go use the general"

Go fuck yourself if you are lurking the thread you werent even a jannie and you still tried to police /tg/

Another thing I always found funny was the last big /tg/ change was the banning of quest threads, this was only done in response to the 8chan version of /tg/ banning quests and making a /qst/ board a year later after 8chan was created quests were suddenly banned on 4/tg/ and the eternal general hell started.

The troon gooners have definitely ruined /v/ for me with their constant discord raids and nothing is being done about it. AGPeach threads, pokemon BLACK, basically any nintendo female character op is a discord raid where they try and recruit young anons in to be groomed.
