I was talking about how a few months back they made it so you had to wait an obscene amount of time between posts (it was either 5 or 15 minutes, I forget) or verify with an email

The fact you were encouraged to email verify probably helped make the database hack far worse

I'm mostly on /a/ for One Piece and a few other series. I like the generals for the most part, and feels more like classic 4chan with a few spammers from time to time. Jannies on /a/ are also decently lax, you can get away with mostly anything as long as you don't post too many non-anime images, and arguments and shitflinging don't become too off-topic. No problem in calling people niggers, chinks, troons, kikes, pajeets etc.

I miss when /b/ wasn't just constant BBC threads, it's a shell of its former self, you use to get actual discussion there. For the past few years I've been banned from boards like /tv/ and /g/ just for saying faggot. It's gotten ridiculous, it's no surprise they have "private reasons" for shit like "this guy said kike 100 times it hurt my feel feels."

Nonzero chance that the very very small list of people with that level of access to start on fixing this are too slow or uncaring and are bottlenecking the process and that those responsible for sweeping it up might just use one of the same exploits used by the hacker to give themselves root access so they can work unencumbered lol

I've seen sites where the team is heavily bottlenecked in their ability to implement changes by a nonpresent admin, they just find workarounds and hacky solutions that are either jndirect and impractical or unfair to the users due to lack of transparency (like all sorts of unwritten but consistently enforced rules). Getting similar vibes here

It's already posted earlier in the thread but yes, ABIB is a massive tendie faggot.

He would also go out of his way to delete Labocorp threads and so on. And then defend it by saying those were generals but then excuse nintendo threads as "Cultural phenomenons", and while there's never been any hard proof even with this leak. There's an old theory that the reason /v/ had all those off shoot boards made like /vst/ /vm/ and so on was because of ABIB. Specifically /vrpg/ exists because he got butthurt seeing threads about Persona 4's Golden PC release

Fuck ABIB he's the only mod I hate as much as Rapeape.
