LMAO, Sky news talking about 4chan and the Sharty like they are the Russian Mafia!

"What we're seeing looks like a classic case of cybercriminals turning on each other - a digital turf war," Graeme Stewart, head of public sector at Check Point, told Sky News."This isn't new. Just as organised crime groups fight for ownership, power, and control in the real world, online gangs splinter, clash, and compete for status and influence."

If you want proof that a lot of the mainstream news media is just public disinformation, look no further than this and Israel.

Various photos get posted of him sporadically alleging he has a wife, a boyfriend, or a daughter now.
Where did you find these? I will somewhat have a hunt every couple of years to find out what his been up to. The only internal information that I have is that he had a small team he worked with at Google for what I believe was an improvement to Google Maps at the time & not much else. Will note that no one at Google I knew met him.

His honestly a great edge case on that you can still disappear off the internet if you try hard enough.

Whose been actually managing the infrastructure of 4chan? I can't imagine the Jannies / Mods / Admins are payig out of pocked for any of this.

Damn, I have not been on 4chan for a long time as the quailty had gone down.
/v/ was more of a cesspool than normal, /k/ was mostly the same and the board that I liked the most /hist/ had very low activity.

i though trans were good at hacking / tech. Why was 4chan tech so neglected?
Did they fear touching the codebase was risky, cause it seems relatively small. They also code in shit for april fools, so idk why splinters made by middle schoolers with 10 users have 10x the security.
Well, either the govs of the west told them to fuck off on updating to leave a back door as part of the deal with m00t leaving,

or literally "low-effort" was the only mantra that mattered to whomever stayed behind.
Ive seen plenty of evidence now the mods and jannies were just posting in their generals all day banning those who didnt agree with them, and if you consider the caliber of person who takes an unpaid job all day every day to moderate fucking 4chan then maybe it was all uselessness all the way down.

Effort posters were chased away to floods of bots and retards that kept increasing every time 4chan hit the media. Further, as shown on sharty, the lil zooms were all saying, in earnest and honest, that they heard about 4chan from youtube vids and came over to be disappointed so proceeded to effectively just lash out on the place. Couple this with reddit tourists from the 2016 election, and the leaks of the last bastions of fun from the russian bombing thead and hwndu, you get a recipe for disaster when the moderators dont do their jobs correctly, or worse, push their own agendas, which cant be healthy if you moderate a forum all day for free.

its such a perfect storm of events that has led us to this point. but look everywhere else, its all shit now. so many people are so disenfranchised and disillusioned from life they schizo post relentlessly, are salty over anything new, shit over through process that differs from their camps, etc etc.

lastly. i dont care how "tech-savy" trannies seem. if you get into the state to be a tranny something is wrong upstairs, youve been abused somehow, or are generally not 100% correct in the mind and soul. this alone will breed sloppiness, and that often is all it takes to get your empire troy'ed into oblivion

It's a bit overused and borders on redditism, but this is always true.

okay now you are just fucking with me

kek!

they did all of this by posting bbc
I don't agree with everything he said but the cops and FBI have literally admitted they have "undercover" people whose entire job is to monitor 4chan and similar sites. It's come up in court cases, it's come up in books, it's come up on podcast interviews with the cops. That's reality. Is everybody a cop? No. Do the cops run the site? I doubt it. But there are absolutely feds and cops there and some of them are almost certainly baiting people to commit crimes.

No, this would be hell.
Arguments would just become:
>lol ur albanian get rekt fag
I agree on disabling memeflags on the flag boards that do exist however.
Certain countries should not ever give opinions about other countries problems unless they fix their shit that might be related to the things they are criticizing. Also it gives a lot of incentive to completely ignore someone's bait/pointless argument/suggestion or whatever especially on /biz/ where 50% of the users are indian scammers.

/ck/ was the only place online I could still find myself smiling sincerely at. The Lamaze-P Miku... it taunts me

>4chan hack
Can someone inform me on this? I'm outta the loop.
/qa/ finally got their revenge. Main page is barely functional. Boards aren't loading. Site virtually unmaintained since moot left. Janny emails, trips, and sweep chat logs going back to the early days have leaked. At first I thought this would be over quick since the soyteens just put jaks and Miku on the page and a banner message. I believe the site admin shut it down (correct me if wrong). At this point, who knows how long it'll stay down?
