/lit/ was like a slot machine. Most threads were awful, but a good /lit/ thread had stuff you couldn't get anywhere else. When /lit/ was on point they came much closer to understanding great books and ideas than any redditor or college professor would

The only use 4chan had was being able to go on /Pol/every time an upstanding African American got gunned down in cold blood while working at a food kitchen or perhaps studying for his MBA (They had a 4.0, you know!) I dont believe it is. I think this thread and us here is proof we have our ritual mourning over a loss but a readiness to move on. For us older and more experienced, who were alive to see the golden years all collapse, for us this is survival.
