It's complicated. If you're on the forum and are actively doing something and discussing it, you'd be banned. If you're just a guy who did something, we don't ban. The point of contention is that we can't look like we're encouraging anything off-site.

He did what he did but he didn't plan or coordinate it here is the thing I think. If he were on here announcing his plans to hack 4chan etc. that would be different.

I specifically pay for it to avoid that, I only use it to ban evade on 4chan. I find other VPNs tend to be banned so Tuxler is the only consistent one I've found that lets me keep posting after I eat an unjust ban.

Wished they elaborated a little bit on that. I have no idea what to think of a "mistaken suid binary", nor how you can explore a remote system undetected for something like that without anyone eventually noticing.

There was a setuid binary called /usr/local/bin/suid_run_global which simply execves a perl script. Said perl script was writable by www so it could be hijacked to acquire a shell.
