It's probably started by people who hate /tv/ mods who are some of the shittiest on the site. There are complaints about /tv/ mods allowing these threads to stay up endlessly while deleting threads actually about TV shows they don't like.

I haven't been using 4chan that much this year so this one's new to me. I've been getting three day, week long or month long bans almost every time I go on a little spree for a couple years now and while it takes nothing to get around a ban it really puts a damper on the fun.

The soijaks can be seen on pretty much every board, but they are the most rampant on /qa/, which I don't believe has any moderation at all. At any given time, there are anywhere from 25 to 60 soijak threads on /qa/.

The way I see it, 4chan as an entire website is a quarantine zone to keep redditors and underage people from finding the more esoteric and interesting imageboards that exist. They aren't terribly difficult to find.
