With people as delusional as Chris, there really isn't any such thing as a fully negative interaction. If you're a woman they want and you keep giving them attention, their wormy little brains will still find some way to twist it into, "She's giving me attention, all hope isn't lost!"

Add to that the fact that women can feel like they have to let people down politely (particularly creepy weirdos who could come off as stalkers), and basically no good can come of continued contact.

He watched Excel Saga which has a whole episode dedicated to parodying dating sim mechanics. If anything, that's what imprinted on him, based upon what we know of his game collection and his dedication to "random access humour" inspired by that show.

I find it genuinely irksome that he behaves like Doopie is his friend and hasn't taken the hint that she isn't interested. When he posted that cringey tweet about friendship I couldn't help but go out of my way to remind him again that she basically told him he was creepy and to back off a bit.

Is there any evidence that Doopie has blocked Chris on Twitter? Like asides from a rumour she had that was unsubstantiated yesterday? I'd love if it was true but as far as I know Chris is still able to follow her.

You know when you get those evangelical Christians who blame every sinful thought they have on Satan? Trolls seem to be Chris' equivalent of Satan. Anything bad that happens to him must, somehow, be caused by trolls. If he could just eliminate the trolls, then everything would be perfect and he'd be up to his neck in china.

I think he's almost trying to convince himself that Doopie is basically his friend, it's just those uncouth trolls trying to convince him that she doesn't want any contact with him, and if he can just get over that delusion, she'll run into his arms and maybe give him an apologetic tribbing.
