His blogs and videos are "rantings and tirades of a frustrated economist". He says that most colleges should be shut down, says teaching is not a real job, says psychology majors are BS, says that laziness explains 100% of fake mental disorders:

Some commenter said "Present me with your Ph.D", and he responded "Why would I waste 8 years on a bogus degree in a made up field?" The rest is arguments. He also said most mental illnesses are fake:

He made a video, it's not there anymore. What is anyone's thoughts? Does he qualify or is this just my first day and I've got a lot to learn?

As I sit here now typing, my pilot-bachelor-millionaire friend and I just returned from "Friday Night" in St. Petersburg, Florida. Every Friday night they section off the bar area of downtown and the night clubs, cigar lounges, and bars open up. We headed out to the cigar lounge to smoke, but as luck would have it, I also found a salsa club just a block south of the "Friday Night" festivities.

However, when we reconnoitered the salsa club there were practically no women to dance with, prompting us to think we'd surely be able to convince some women to come dance with us back at the "Friday Night" festival. I thought this would be a breeze given the levity of the festival and figured it would only be a matter of approaches to convince a couple girls to join us, but, ahhhhh yes.... euphoric recall.

The first group of girls "didn't know how to dance."

The second group, "no thank you, nice try."

And the third group! Mercy, a veritable 23 year old bitch told me "nice try, it's time for you to leave."

(And to dissuade any arguments that I was dejected or butt hurt, no, in all honesty I was merely, literally, and honestly asking girls if they wanted to join me and my buddy at a salsa club. And to further address any additional arguments, yes, I was on my game, was charming, wasn't creepy, etc, etc, etc.and my approach was one of NOT hitting on, but a genuine and friendly request that some girls come dancing with us (for example, I asked no one particular girl, but GROUPS to join us) Also the approaches were aloof, indifference and nonchalant.)

Regardless, my point is the responses were just so hostile and arrogant that it reminded me of just what a pain in the ass it was trying to play the field, when in fact we WEREN'T EVEN TRYING TO PLAY THE FIELD! We were just trying to get dance partners. And thus, there is a lesson for both those of you who are spoken for and those of you who are single

I am guessing that he thinks psychology is just psychopathology and that he doesn't have any education in economics.
Behavioural economics (which has a lot of influence from psychology) is something you learn about in economics 101

I think this should really go in Loveshy. I had thought about making a Clarey thread, but I didn't think he was lulzy enough compared to Aurini and Matt Forney but a while back he had an article published on RoK.

I could powerlevel really hard in this thread, but I'll spare everyone. I'm sold because I meet these kind of people often.

You go and earn a degree, oh you wasted time! I know more than you, I don't have to prove it you just have paper! People like him, see the flaws in the education system, and I will happily admit they are there, so they go to the extreme of start fresh, to be frank parts of me feels it needs it. But even not being perfect (I've wrote a few papers to impress or agree with bias'd profs so yes it's a thing) it doesn't make students of a field idiots. Also let's both apply for a job, who's got a better chance random PhD or random dude who knows way more.

You don't have to hold any degree to get your papers published, how much does this guy have in serious economic journals I'd wager a lot less than the hack PhD's. Because the human mind is not a cracked nut in regards to understanding how we all work it's also impossible to master the field. Anyone who says they know it sink to Krugmen tier of comical. It's like gambling, you can use all your skills to know your best bet but god plays dice one can say (yes I am altering a quote for my own selfish needs). I've been wrong a bunch, your best economists are and your worst.

With his view of mental health he clearly thinks he has figured out how people tick, if one could do this they would be quite advanced on economics or most any field. Granted if so, he could easy get a scholarship and kick butt just to dismay the haters. I don't see that happening.

Has he yet done a call out of Deaton? That's the current issue in the field and every layman knows of it since he won the Nobel prize. I have a strange feeling, the half assed youtube video he will make won't get anywhere as much following or respect as some of the peer reviews that are incoming.

He makes a living off consulting right now and hasn't applied for a job in about 7 years according to what he said one time in his video. He's also really good friends with Davis Aurini, who has a thread in Loveshy and had been interviewed for The Sarkeesian Effect. He's also a fan of Ludwig von Mises and all those Austrian school economists.

I'm not shocked he consults, it's a great field for almost anyone to get into. He clearly is passionate, you do have a niche market for being rough around the edges in the field. I wouldn't doubt outside his odd views he's not really an awful person just misguided and bigoted.

Also, to be frank I think personally it's a bit of his ego and chip on his shoulder. He wishes he had an econ PhD and he's read some trash so he's smarter than them all.

He's mainly your standard libertarian conservative type and really into Rush Limbaugh and other radio talk show hosts. Compared to Aurini's extreme views, he's more PuA self help Roosh V kind of guy.

He believes in the cultural Marxism conspiracy, the same thing that Aurini and the altright are into, and made a video ridiculing conspiracy theorists, so there's some hypocrisy there. People who don't agree with his ideas are either leftists, socialists, or communists. He was also a Republican even in college so he's had a lot of these ideas in his head for years. It's pretty predictable shit that he does and he has a tendency to sometimes ban people from his videos. He'll literally say that you're banned when he does it. Finally, he's a global warming denier as you can see here.


Bernard Chapin is also kinda like Aaron Clarey with the whole people who disagree with me are leftists or Marxists kind of thing.

The other interesting thing about Aaron is that he had anti-Semites go all apeshit over him when he made that video saying that he was part Jewish and I believe some of those people were Aurini followers too. It was like two years ago though.

He's always promoting the Manosphere and a ton of other blogs related to it on his site and is close friends with Roosh V, Royce Corniche, Matt Forney, Aurini, Paul Elam and all those guys and he writes a lot of Manosphere stuff on his blog. That's his main connection to it and writing for Return of Kings.

The other big thing Clarey is notable for is getting into a spat with MGTOW Barbarossa. Ever since then and making those anti-MGTOW videos, MGTOWS really hate Clarey's guts and a quick YouTube search and you'll find all sorts of videos from them hating on him. For clarification, Clarey is an MRA.

In regards to his book, I'm going to go on a limb and use the powers of knowing a lolcow's mind set (only after a depressing amount of studying these fine creatures) and some things in regard to this guy's own mind set.

I'll try to keep my two cents out of it. But it'll probably be good advice on some of the race relation gaps in the earnings of the AA population. Now, if you agree with it or not, it's probably both well intentioned, and a feasible reasoning. It's probably a bit more rough around the edges than many would like but that's this dude's style.

Freakanomics have covered this a few times, but they have tact. So yea, think Freakanomics with the word fuck thrown in a lot. Any economist also would know people don't agree on things, hence we have different schools of thought a good economist will be versed in all, and his personal will be one foot firmly in that school, and the other with his toes into the other schools.

Edit: I'd guess bachelor pad economic's is over priced toilet paper from this guy's mind set but, he's clearly got a career so it might not have advice, but I'd worry half the book is "keep your bitch on fumes, don't let no girl having money"
